You hit the nail on the head..

My insurance (over age 50) is 153.00 per month, 5,000.00 yearly deductible (includes co-pay in that), under the new Federally Insurance Plan, my premiums would be 434.00 per month with a 2,000.00 or maybe it was 2,500.00 yearly deductible. I would have a 40.00 copay for doctors visits with Obama's plan, so what? I pay 60.00 to my Doc now and see him once a year for a checkup which is covered at 100% with no deductible BTW and my yearly BP medicine (10.00 for a 3 month supply at my local drugstore) So why would anyone in their right mind want Obamacare?

Thank you. It should remain legal to pay cash for medical care and to gamble on one's health and forgo expensive insurance premiums. I too get substantial 'cash discounts' for both my medications (blood thinner, also $10/3 mo. supply) and for my clinic visits for the related lab blood work required ($17.00/mo. cash, but $38.00 + $10.00 copay/mo. w/insurance). Clinic's love cash payments at the time of treatment, as it saves them paperwork/billing costs and they get immediate positive cash flow. Why should responsible citizens pay a fine to help subsidize the "free" care of deadbeat morons?

I find it very ironic that conservatives are complaining about the GOP created insurance mandate as a result of Obama compromising on health care reform, rather than pushing through the single payer system, that we will eventually have to go to anyway.

It might help a little, but not much. In some cases the reasons inurance is higher in some states could just as easily bleed into orther states.
