Don't Ask, Don't Tell, Don't Vote, Don't Debate

The dems are desperate. The GOP has been intentionally dragging its feet hoping to set the dems up for a chomping in the next series of elections. This is not about the country. It is about power. Washington stopped representing the people along time ago. Apparently the bill is not all that wonderful anyway but that is not even the point anymore. If the situation were reversed and GOP were pushing the exact same bill then the dems would be dragging their feet.
Both parties need to wake up and see that the average American is about fed up with their shenanigans.

They are awake and fully cognizant of what they are doing. Have you seen the insurance stock prices?

Humana Inc. - Google Finance

Americans are too stupid to come together against the Special Interest and government collusion.

Not following the "will of the people" is meaningless because the "will of the people" does not exist. Anyway, the Congress is designed to resist populist impulses.

The senate is designed to resist populist impulses. The house is designed to conform to these. And what do you mean "will of the people" doesn't exist? You're trying to tell me that all the people protesting the health care bill either weren't people or didn't have will.

You answered yourself already:

It is about power.

What would they "wake up" from, if they basically jockey the power back and forth between each other? The tranquil masses who just keep giving them more power as long as government taxes the minority to fuel their handouts? Wait, they already woken up to that.

What I'm sure he was getting at is that the "will of the people" is ignored in favor of the "will of the Special Interests".
