Donald Trump's mental health becomes an issue again

Uh huh. Concerned enough to offer his services as a mole for the Chinese military but not concerned enough to do the lawful thing by approaching the cabinet to pitch a 25th Amendment invocation. Sure. 😂 Miley is a power hungry and dangerous liability who should be in Leavenworth.
Federal crime he committed?

He was always like this. He didn't change.
You could be right - it might have just been the potential outcomes that were worse. It's one thing to be a Birther, it's quite another to start nuking the weather and other countries while simultaneously undermining American democracy.

Geezus. So many derisions of Trump's mental fitness for office and nothing of introspection of Biden's clearly failing mental faculties?
So many so unaware. . . . . It's pity, really.

Federal crime he committed?

Plus, why should Milley have to pitch anything to the cabinet? They knew what megalomaniac he is. So did the senate.

The constitutional guardrails failed.

Trump was a clear and present danger. Even Ivanka begged him to stop the January 6 insanity.

Trump refused.

on his worst day, Biden is still light years ahead of Trump. You guys just can't stand the fact that he is decent and honest. Not our problem, LOL!

I suspect that's because Biden isn't attempting to destroy democracy and tear the country apart for his own, personal aggrandizement.

Again, that is not Miley’s decision to make. Miley’s personal opinions don’t entitle him to his own personal insurrection.
So what of those who served under Trump in national security roles but claim what Milley did was totally appropriate, and a constitutional fulfillment of his duties? They apparently know less about the topic than the Trumpers?

The Constitution provides mechanisms for containing or removing a President. None of them involve Miley violating the chain of command, conspiring with Pelosi to seize control of the nuclear Arsenal, and committing to be a mole for the Chinese military. There were legal paths available to Miley. He chose the illegal ones.

And none of the constitutional mechanisms worked. Impeachment failed and the 25th amendment was never invoked.

What's a man with integrity who puts his country first working for Trump supposed to do?

What he should have done was either resign or make his case to the cabinet. Paranoid delusions and personal opinions don’t entitle him to his own personal insurrection.

The cabinet knew very well Trump's state of mind. They weren't going to do anything. Resignung wouldn't have prevented Trump from trying to use the military for his own personal hedds.

Milley did the only thing he could do. This is the type of trouble you run into when an elected tyrant-wannabe is the president. Constitutional guardrails fail. He is free to use his immense power to gain more power, while those following the rules are left in the dust. Tyrants amass power legally. If the people around him don't care about democracy, what is there to stop him?

Funny that you’re talking about democracy while defending a rogue general who thinks he’s entitled to shred the Constitution and federal law when he personally disagrees with the President.

He pressured the Justice Dept to overturn an election. Perhaps Milley felt he could live with that.

At a bare minimum, Donald Trump is a narcissistic sociopath and habitual liar. Clearly a tortured, vindictive, and unstable personality.

This individual should be allowed nowhere near the Oval Office.
CNN - patootie.

When dealing with a man who:

Was impeached for attempting to extort a foreign ally to help him win the election.
Pressured state officials to overturn results.
Pressured the Justice Dept to overturn an election.
Has perpetuated an endless litany of lies about the election being stolen.
Was impeached for fomenting a violent insurrection that he refused to stop.

Milley had every reason to be concerned that Trump would start a conflict for his own purposes.

Neither the senate nor the cabinet would hold him accountable.

If Milkey resigns, Trump puts a lackey in his place.

What's left? He had to do what he had to do.

🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣
Yeah, OK. Sure, sure.
Just remember we are not talking 'decent and honest' (Joe is neither), but 'mental fitness for office' (note, nothing policy here)

Joe's stumbling and bumbling DQs him pretty early on.

No. What clear thinking people are saying is that what Miley did was unconstitutional and illegal. Hating Trump doesn’t change that.

Trump pardoned soldiers who were convicted of doing illegal things.

This is common of tyrants. They feel free to promote lawlessness, but then lean on it when it suits them.

Have you considered the possibility that you're just biased?

The right has lost any ability to question the integrity of others.

Miley can be as concerned as he wants to be. That doesn’t entitle him to do what he did.

But yet, you proudly voted twice for him (and sorely miss him). Any way you can show us how to get that square peg into that round hole?

It's interesting, "theparser" appears to have a rare situation, in which he has some of the trump cult problems, but rare variations on them where he can criticize other things about trump. It would be a little like saying Charles Manson was wonderful, but admittedly he was very disrespectful to law enforcement, which is terrible.

"Excuse me Mr. President. Could we just put a pin in that "I'm the Commander in Chief and I say we nuke 'em now" idea while I go talk to the cabinet?"
