One has to read all the way through the article but in the second to last paragraph we have this -

What this looks like to me is that the paper decided to write an article about documents that contain accusations that were retracted by the accuser who then admitted that she made up stuff. The New Yorker article is paywalled but it's referenced in this ABC piece.

Ransome also gave an interview to NPR in 2021in which she never mentioned Trump, Branson, Dershowitz or anyone other than Epstein and Maxwell. The 2021 interview was well after her 2017 retraction so maybe she'd given up on the Trump angle by then. Fortunately, we have our local bevy of conspiracy theorists around here to remind us of the many debunked, retracted and fully made up stories about Trump.

The evidence says Trump was involved.
