This is more pro-slavery in the sense that it's pointless culture war slop which manufactures consent for heaps of other terrible policy from the unwashed masses. Two steps back can always be mended by the dopamine rush of owning a few libtards.

I doubt Pete Hegseth ever reads a book, much less reads history. The confederacy were traitors fighting to make slavery a permanent fixture in the US. The white washing by the Daughters/Sons of the Confederacy and other sympathizers decades after the war ended are the ones trying to rewrite history.
