The women who fought for suffrage, who protested and rioted and chained themselves to railings, were also criminals. They broke the law, so that they and the generations of women who followed them, would be able to enjoy the liberties that so many fought and bled for. Now, it will happen again. The fools on the right wing may believe that we will lie down and wait for them to screw us over, but they are badly mistaken.

No woman needs a right to terminate her pregnancy. She need only act to do so. We will not wait for anyone to give women the respect and liberty they deserve. We will instead fight to claim it ourselves.

I have no doubt that equally pompous people made equally pompous statements about the actions of the suffragettes, when they were fighting for the right to vote. But when it's your own personal liberty on the line, no cost is too high to pay.

I believe there are those trying at this very moment to infringe upon women's liberty. That leaves us no choice but to fight to defend it.

Ok, so let’s go that route. It’s all over if they step one toe on private property and we already know they aren’t beyond that. As much grief as folks are giving Republicans about January 6th they also have selective memories about what protestors on their side do. I still remember an angry mob pounding and clawing at the doors of the Supreme Court to try and pry them open so they could stop Kavanaugh’s swearing in. What do you think they’re going to do when the decision is released next month?
