Does the midterm election simply come down to one thing (abortion)?

Is that going to be the one thing that drives this election? Do women (all ages) show up en masse and vote against anti- choice people? Do liberal men also show up and support them?

And do they (women) do so because they don't want old men controlling them?
Yes. It doesn't matter whether we're all broke, whether we're at war, whether we have a Constitution or not, whether we have borders or not or whether criminals have free rein on the streets. The ONLY thing that matter is that we have the right to kill our babies on demand.

And the other half in their younger days paid for abortions or at least dated a girl that had one. Does anyone here think Hershal, the newly saved conservative is alone? Fat ****ing chance.
Oh, for sure. Tons of these anti-choice older guys impregnated their girlfriends.

Watch what women do. Just as in the 2016 election, there was a silent voter block who were embarrassed to admit they would vote for Trump when polled. It's why the polls were so skewed towards the end.

I believe many women will vote this way next month. As a silent block of pro-choice voters. Too embarrassed to even let their pro-life best friends know how they really feel. Women are pissed. Let's hope it's enough of them.

My wife is a great example for this sort of thing. She is literally a pro-choice OBGYN MD, but votes the economics issues very much over the abortion debate. We just talked about it last night.

Not questioning the accuracy of the polling but the questions themselves might lead to unintended conclusions. Not exactly much if anything the federal government can do on the issue of abortion, unlike perhaps like inflation, the economy etc. But does that mean the women pissed off about the Dobbs decision won't still hold it against republicans? I don't know.

Not what we're hearing from the most extreme candidates. No abortions, no exceptions, abortion is murder, and anyone involved should be prosecuted. You mix them up with all the election deniers, and you've got a motley crew running in November. Add to that all the republicans that lied to us when Roe was overturned. Sure, just leave it to the states. Now over half the lawmakers are getting behind a national ban.

Liars, cheats and hypocrites. Nice crew !!!
As opposed to the moral pillars on the left 🤣

All I said you're a dude. And that you don't have to make these kind of decisions.
I am pointing out that your statement denies the prevailing scientific orthodoxy of the left. Gender is a fluid thing that we choose. It is now considered bigoted to assume a persons gender.

I'll take Our President Biden over the abortionist Herschel " I Can't Spell My Own Name" Walker any old day of the week friend!! Thank you very much!

Everything depends on whom the Republicans are stuck with this time.

If it's Trump, all predictions are off the table, the election will be about him and how he's been so badly treated....seeking revenge!

Anyone else, it will be the issues, largely affected by local politics & personalities and pricing of needed commodities, then abortion. The Republicans are smart if they simply shut up and talk about the constitution, which all Americans think they understand, but don't.

Here's my question, what if Trump runs as a third alternative?

And you're still not a woman who can potentially get pregnant and who would then have to make a decision. You're just an old dude.

i guess you can hope that tons of women don't want a right stripped away from them.

i also think we'll find out over the next 50 elections.

I think it's very unlikely that the majority of women are as easily exploited and willing to unquestioningly follow Party edict as you appear to be.

I hope not.

If Democrats don't make the Jan. 6 violent insurrection the main issue, they deserve to lose.

You must not have seen the middle age and older female Republican politicians, who attend church, who stood up in the South Carolina legislature and begged the Republican men, people from their own party, to at least give them exceptions for rape and incest. This is not a small issue for women like it is for you old dudes.

This is not going to be a one-issue election.

This is going to be a roaring mess, and I am here for it.

Looks like you got the right message even before my edit.

If the South Carolina Law turns out to be not of the citizens liking then the Legislature will be voted out. That was the point of the Supreme Court decision.
Doesn't appear that way.

If middle aged and old Republican Church going women in the south feel like choice is between them and their doctors, then long-term you guys are going to lose huge.

I bet that's what everybody says who lays on Fox News.

Hell, after Bush I couldn't find anybody that voted for him.
If given a choice old school republicans come out of the walls. They have been ignored beginning with Reagan/Bush. Then ALEC came along and pushed out the real republicans. Then the mass forced exodus
began. And the Fake Republicans replaced republicans with Newt being the ALEC hatchet man.

That argument is a red herring. Using Ohio as an example, the republicans hold a veto proof super majority and the statehouse districts are so hopelessly gerry mandered there is no way to vote out that party. And republican voters are not going to vote out their own party based upon the abortion issue.

Unless each state holds a referendum on the issue, this "leave it to the state voters" argument is a false flag.
