Does Being too Fat Right Make you Stupid?

IMO, it's because Right Wing media convinces folks that they are the smartest people in the room, even when they have no business thinking they are. I witnessed it live this morning in the staff meeting when the Wingnut told the owners how to run their business. This went over like a lead balloon, especially since the moron was wrong.

While this went on, the operations manager and I sent texts back and forth mocking the dingbat. Ironically, the idiot continued digging. One of my texts read, "He just can't stop himself, can he?"][/

OM's response: "What a dumbass."

Actually, today's experience was uncanny because this was not the first time said employee shoved his foot into his mouth at the wrong time. Today, it hurt him more than most due to his projects all being in the negative margin range.

He and I are rivals...well, we were until I won. Now, I sort of feel bad for him and his cruel fate, even though mine is far more precarious at the moment. I kind of regretted my rivalry until today, when the op mgr said, "Don't feel bad, Cal. You were right."

I cannot imagine that listening to Rush, watching Fox and chatting with “like-minded” zombies on the Internet gains someone any intelligence. However, the bounce in that bubble does convince the rubes in it that they are smarter than the rest of us.

I believe this to be fact. It also makes for a lot of stupid people getting dumber by the minute.
