Documentaries, Daily Right & Left Wing Irrationality Award

Don't get offended Craig. Sometimes I come across as too ironic.
It wasn't offensive, but just bogglingly false. Hey I found a picture of Al Sharpton (with a background associated with background crime and hucksterism) with trump so see, it proves the left and right are corrupt allies'. Is your calling the comment 'ironic' like trump saying he was joking?

Craig, not sure what you are going on about.

Trump takes advantage of the racist element and makes money through this. Blames foreigners for taking away jobs and promises white Americans to bring them back. A lie, in my view, the jobs are taken away by Artificial Intelligence.

Al Sharpton takes advantage of minority groups fears so he can live in 5 stars hotels while young activists get criminal recors on the street and destroy their future.

So that picture quite works out from my view.

Whatever the picture shows, and you should learn the story behind it, it's about trump and Sharpton, not the 'right' or 'left' or 'centrists' or the topic.

This was at the beginning of his presidency. He literally almost failed a no-confidence vote, with 16 out of 35 members of his own party voting against him
Theory does not work. It sounded good but once you apply it in practical use it failed. Causes like "right wing" "capitalists" "The West" "America" "Wall Street" , etc. does not excuse the final result which is another failure.

I really was not aware that he is trying to be more moderate, thank you for the information. That is an update in my books. I did not read that part, I was focusing on the economical issues.

Every day I will be posting 2 news stories from different sources. Please note, some stories might be from earlier dates and will not be limited to only North America.

-> Please do call out a story if you find out it's fake or the source is questionable as we all know how divided society is.

The stories will recieve two awards. The awards are from my point of view:

a) Right Wing Irrationality award.

b) Left Wing Irrationality award.

*Being human, I have my BIAS so if I offend your ideologic view feel free to swear in private. I don't get offended over politics.

Thursday March 17, 2022:

a) Right Wing Irrationality Award - Mr. Ammon Bundy - a far-right activist.
*A major hospital in Boise, Idaho, locked down after a far-right activist encouraged people to protest the facility over a child protection case.
https://thehill.com/homenews/state-watch/598490-idaho-hospital-locks-down-for-possible-far-right-protest

b) Left Wing Irrationality Award - Peru's far-left economy, Mr. Pedro Castillo - Peru's president.
*Weakening Governance a Risk for Peru Economy, Ratings. Tensions between far-left politicians led by Vladimir Cerron, General Secretary of the Free Peru Party, which backed the president’s campaign, and moderates have equally contributed to public cabinet rifts. President Pedro Castillo faces a risk of impeachment via the current process to start March 28 or potential future motions. His popularity has fallen, he faces two corruption investigations and legislative support for impeachment is building.

Peru's president isn't a leftist, and his policies have nothing to do with American democrats.

Your "right wing irrationality award" should be given to you for your silly false equivalency.

But that's not what the voters brought him in for. They brought him in for change and to address the many grievances that led to his election, but so far he hasn't and that's a betrayal of his mandate. Why do you keep mentioning theory vs practice when Castillo never even got around to implement his policies?

How can you implement something that is not compatible?

The installer, Castillo went with his mandate to the worksite and realized the truth which is that it can not be implemented and this is probably he started making compromises.

How can you implement a marxist economic system in 2022?

Is easy to be a populist and talk all day from opposition until you start driving and realize the road is not as easy.

No lol it was literally because he was about to be impeached and was under relentless pressure from the opposition

relentless pressure from the opposition
Of course there will be pressure from the opposition, he leads a divided a country.

The man that starved millions of people (at 2:20 is the best part):

And just so I understand your position, you support the below type of socialism, not the democratic type.

b) Left Wing Irrationality Award -> Authoritarians on the left.

*The Experts Somehow Overlooked Authoritarians on the Left. Intriguingly, the researchers found some common traits between left-wing and right-wing authoritarians, including a “preference for social uniformity, prejudice towards different others, willingness to wield group authority to coerce behavior, cognitive rigidity, aggression and punitiveness towards perceived enemies, outsized concern for hierarchy, and moral absolutism.”

Daily Right & Left Wing Irrationality Award thread proposes 2 older videos for this weekend:

Indoctrination on the right:
*The Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol was perhaps the most widely documented act of political violence in history. The New York Times obtained, analyzed and mapped out thousands of cellphone videos, police bodycam recordings and internal police audio to provide the most complete picture to date of what happened — and why. Our Oscar-shortlisted documentary “Day of Rage” charts in chilling detail how the peaceful transition of power was disrupted by far-right rioters who stormed a seemingly impenetrable seat of government.

Indoctrination on the left:
*CA High School Teacher Admits Communist/Far-left Indoctrination of Students on camera. The Inderkum teacher is shown in the video for six minutes, talking about goals for his students and how he instills activism into his classroom. At the beginning of the edited video, the teacher says "I have 180 days to turn them into revolutionaries."

Right Wing Irrationality and Left Wing Irrationality Award: Extremes of the political spectrum.

It revealed a tendency evident on both extremes of the political spectrum - the far-left and far-right - to side with the Russian President as an expression of their discontent with the state of the modern Western world.

This trend, which is evident around the world, exemplifies the so-called “horseshoe theory” of politics attributed to French writer Jean-Pierre Faye. The theory holds that the far-left and far-right can end up closer to each other than they do to the political centre, with both tending to gravitate towards authoritarianism.

How Putin's FSB manipulates both extremes of the political spectrum:

a) → Right Wing Irrationality
Award = Russian far-right groups loyal to Putin.

*These individuals below are part of a far-right hooligan group in Russia. It is rumored that after the attacks in Europe, most Russian hooligans were helped by Russian embassy staff to flee back. If you can find this documentary in full online, it will explain the events in detail.

Trump also criticized Brooks for hiring “a new campaign staff who ‘brilliantly’ convinced him to ‘stop talking about the 2020 Election.'"

b) Left Wing Irrationality Award = Some Progressive Lawmakers.
*From banning gas and oil drilling on federal lands to fixing problems with the Affordable Care Act and overhauling the immigration system, a group of congressional Democrats is pushing the Biden administration to take executive action on a host of issues that Congress apparently can't or won't deal with. Someone might want to remind them that Democrats have a majority in both chambers. But why go through the effort to pass legislation when you can have a president do it with the mere stroke of a pen?

Iran The Shah and the Ayatollah - DW Documentary
*Deutsche Welle, sometimes abbreviated to DW, is a German public, state-owned international broadcaster funded by the German federal tax budget.

How systems can go from royal rule to religious fundamentalism.

The Savak has been described as Iran's "most hated and feared institution" prior to the revolution of 1979, because of its practice of torturing and executing opponents of the Pahlavi regime. The Savak was the secret police, domestic security, and intelligence service in Iran during the reign of the Pahlavi dynasty.

In the end, Islamic fundamentalism triumphs, which is equally as brutal as The Savak's rule.

The Ultra-Orthodox vs. The IDF: Israel's Other Religious War (aired in 2014)
*Vice is an American-Canadian digital media and broadcasting company.

Since Israel's inception, the Haredi — ultra-Orthodox adherents of Judaism —have been exempt from the country's military conscription laws. But their growing population, coupled with their high unemployment rate and dependence on state benefits, sparked outrage within the country's secular majority. After years of demanding that the Haredi share the responsibility of serving in the armed forces, the Israeli government passed an unprecedented law in March 2014 that requires Haredi men to serve in the military.

The decision resulted in major opposition from the Ultra Orthodox community, from violent protests to religious leaders demanding that no one should comply. VICE News traveled to Israel to speak with hardline members and leaders of the Ultra Orthodox community as well as soldiers in the Netzah Yehuda, the IDF's Ultra Orthodox Battalion, to get their take on the government's decision.

Because It doesn't take a majority to pass legislation, it takes 60 Senators except one reconciliation bill a year, and Republicans are totally corrupt and obstructionist, and there's every reason for Biden to use his powers to do good things he has the power to do.
