Wrong. RCP average: 51% to 41% against.
How does his hippocratic oath preclude him from actively taking part in the political discourse of his country? He isn't harming anyone. He is helpful in telling them there are other urologists to see them.
He's well within his rights and ethics to post that sign, especially since he isn't actually turning anyone away. I think people get a little too upset about tongue in cheek displays of political discourse.
Don't be coy, he is harming any patient who traveled to his office to seek treatment, if they don't follow his radical political viewpoint. If I voted for Obama, I certainly wouldn't trust this guy with my privates.

Well, then, Jallman is even more correct, after all. I certainly think the doctor has done all of his patients a service, conservative and liberal alike. Really, why would any of them want to use such an immature person for their medical care.
As a business owner he has a right to do this. As a doctor though he should be ashamed. There are plenty of doctors that do not like the Health Care bill, but none of them have sunk this low.
Like you, I'm interested to see where we're at a year or two from now.I can believe that. The number is topsy turvy. I'm interested to see where we're at in a year or two from now.
Speakin' of RCP, can you believe this?
Obama's approval rate:
Approve 47.8
Disapprove 45.8
Looks like "The American People" approve of Obama.
Go figure.
How low? He hasn't actually turned anyone away. Why do you people have a problem with protected free political speech?
Well when I first read the sign I first thought that if I were to vote for President Obama I can't see him. So it is sort of in how you read the sign if he is/isn't turning people away. And I have no problem with protected free political speech and that is why I am not against him doing this. But I know a lot of doctors and while they disagree with the bill none of them say don't come see us if you voted for President Obama. Doctors are there to serve patients and I see it has he is saying I don't want you as a patient if you voted for President Obama.
So, like I said as a business owner he has a right to do this, but when it comes to being a professional doctor he crossed a line.

I just think that's way too serious a look at that sign. It's obviously tongue in cheek because any rational person who looks at that sign immediately knows that he can't possibly know who you voted for since our ballots are secret.
If he had a question on the medical form asking you who you voted for, then he would have crossed a line. But this is just a political point being driven home, albeit in a very cras way.
That's the beauty of it. If you voted for Obama and went to his office only to see the sign, you would be among the collective intelligence to believe that he could do that. If you somehow got past that, you would be among the collective mentality of someone who would blow it out of proportion, take it personally, get bent out of shape and leave.
We've already seen the proof in this thread when a certain liberal female (who will, of course, remain nameless) threw a whiny dart and left.
Jallman, would you go to a doctor that said "gays should seek care elsewhere"? Would you trust your dick to that kind of guy?

But as I said, totally different issue there than this.
How is it different? Its exactly the same behavior, putting personal BS over the professional standards of a doctor.
Well now. I guess that depends.
America. Gotta love it! :doh
