Do you trust president Obama to do a good job fighting ISIS?
Mostly this question is aimed at those who want our country to fight ISIS. Because I noticed many neocon scum in the media saying Obama should do something,Obama should fight ISIS or some other nonsense are the same ones who mock his ability to lead militarily. If this guy is such a poor leader then why on earth do they want that man getting us involved in another war? Do these people think he has General Patton or some other great general on ice ready to thawed? Is there a really great "How to Fight Wars for Dummies" book somewhere?
No more than I trust him to do a good job with anything else.Do you trust president Obama to do a good job fighting ISIS?

Not sure at this point. His intentions might be pure, but I'm highly skeptical of his commitment to the fight at this point, in no small part due to his hesitancy to act as ISIS initially toppled key positions in Iraq. I sincerely hope that he reverses course in terms of seriousness and vowing to not send in troops no matter the circumstance. Ruling out a ground assault beforehand isn't an encouraging sign.
I see a complete lack of reality in the Media play by play of events in Syraq. First we arm ISIS directly, or indirectly. We want to get rid of Assad so we can get the pipeline concession across Syria. We're supposed to pretend we don't notice Oil and Gas as geo-political realities. Then there are the lovely profits of war. First profits to the Energy corporations as the logistics of preparation for war by moving arms, planes, transports, ships, and all the suppoet equipment. Yowsah, war is good business, dont' ya' know? The new unemployment program. ISIS is genuine scumbags, but they are native scumbags to the area. We armed and funded al Qeda. We armed and funded ISIS. There's just so much covert collusion going on and it's not about liberty and justice for all. I'm not optimistic about any positive outcomes in Syraq.

I hope a country with such a massive army doesn't actually send its President to fight the wars. Surely it would have enough resources, like experts in tactics and grunts to do the killing so that the President need only point it at the enemy and say "Go".

Hm.
Well. No. But better what we can get than allowing the perfect to be the enemy of the less-bad.
While I understand that libertarians tend to be slavishly devoted to avoiding conflict at any cost, I just can't take anyone seriously who disregards the threat that ISIS poses to the civilized world as "paranoia." Can't even pretend to play along :shrug:His intentions might be pure?
No offense, but let's hop on the naive train to Gullible Ville.
His intentions about ISIS are either paranoia, political deception for the mid-terms or some flat out Neocon-backed reason.
I am betting on the latter two.
Imo, 95+% of all federal politicians do almost nothing due to 'pure intentions'...unless they are too stupid to know better.
And Obama is not stupid.
This ridiculous ISIS paranoia/battle will eventually make the Middle East less stable, not more.
It's just more Neocon-style madness at work (and yes, Neocons are Democrats too).
You want him to do something but yet you think he is incompetent? Wouldn't that just make things worse?
No. It means we are slowly and fitfully doing the smart thing. Lack of knowledge on how to properly conduct a beach landing didn't stop us from starting the island hopping campaign, and I'd rather have sort of incompetent cops respond to someone who is trying to murder me than no one.

Excellent question. If Obama is such a poor leader, why do they want him to lead us to war? They'e like a bunch of people looking at a house on fire, running in circles and shouting, "Do something!"
Doing the wrong thing at this point could make matters even worse, just like the initial invasion made matters worse.
