Do you have blue eyes?

blue-green, so I'm half-mutant.
 
This explains so many things when thinking about everyone I know with blue eyes.
 
I have blue eyes. Depending on what I wear, they vary from cornflower blue to sapphire. I think I'm perfectly normal.
 
Yea, I have blue eyes... interesting that's it's a relatively new mutation.

Isnt green eyes just a mutation of blue eyes? if so that would make you a mutant squared

Same here, they move from green to hazel.

Without mutations, we wouldn't have evolution!

For all you science/physics geeks out there, some interesting physics behind the phenomenon of blue eyes:

It turns out the human body does not produce blue or green pigments. It only makes melanin, mostly a brownish pigment. The reason for this perceived eye color is very interesting: it's the same reason the sky is blue. When light consisting of many different frequencies (colors) like sunlight hits something, the highest energy wavelengths (highest frequency waves, like blue) are the first to scatter. That's why when it's noon, where the sun strikes first, and most directly, the blue light scatters the most, and the sky is blue. But when the sunlight travels obliquely through the atmosphere and you look at it an dusk or dawn, all that blue light has already been scattered and filtered out where it is noon, and you only see the lower frequency waves, and the sun looks red/orange.

So when light hits an eye with a lot of pigment, all of the light gets absorbed, and you see black or brown. But when you decrease the pigment, the first wavelengths to start scattering out are the higher frequency/higher energy frequencies: blue. And then, with even less pigment, you start seeing the greens.

Well, I have red hair and blue eyes...that's pretty rare...:2razz:

My mom had green eyes...
