If so, can you share what brand it is and if you like it? What are the pros and cons? Thanks, I'm thinking of getting one, I only have the back yard, front is rocked in. I'll keep my gas one as a spare and for the more rough and weedy areas.

Don't have one because I don't like em. Used one a long long long time ago, did't like it. Don't plan on getting one because a bunch of goofs tell me the sky is falling, or a big goof needs a few more votes.

I have a Greenworks (Amazon brand) one. I love it. About the same power as the gas one I had last, especially with the turbo button on. Only cons I'd say are if the grass is really tall it will sometimes leave stragglers, requiring a second go over. But mostly just long lush grass. Also the batteries are expensive. Like $65 Canadian each for the middle MAH rated , and it takes 2 to run. I bought 3 pairs so I can get everything done in the worst conditions without having to wait for a recharge. Pros are less noise, less smell, no gas, reliable.

Money, money, money. Toxic batteries, extra work. Wow! what a great sales pitch.
I bought a new zero turn mower last year. It loves gasoline and I love the mower. Big, powerful, cuts high grass, thick weeds, wacks the prunings I leave from my trees around the 2 1/2 acres. It's a beast.

So much more convenient as well!

I received a Kobalt electric mower, electric leaf blower, extra batteries, and battery chargers as a housewarming gift. I like them both. The mower is fairly quiet, efficient, and less expensive to operate than a gas powered mower. Downsides? You’ll probably need the extra battery if you have a large lawn but swapping them out is easy.

Yes. Kobalt self propelled 80 volt battery. It’s great. Never go back to gas power.
That’s the one I have.

I don’t have a large lawn so I’ve never run out of juice.

I bought batteries once, instead of gas and oil lots of times. Producing those plus the emissions from them is no better for the environment I would bet than battery production and waste. Besides, this isn't an environmental thread, it's a consumer one. And from the average consumers' wants and needs, electric kills gasoline in most home use cases.

I have an ego. It does the whole yard with one battery. I can't see ever going back to gas. It always starts with the push of a button. I can start and stop all I want. Don't have to deal with gas. I love that I can store it on its edge against the wall. It's light weight makes it very easy to maneuver. Everything about it is so much more convenient than my gas mowers.

We have an Echo brand 58v battery powered 21” push mower. It works well, is very lightweight and easy for my girlfriend to push. The newer one’s are 56v.

Planning on one. I have a blower and weed trimmer from Lowe's, I will buy their mower for battery compatibility.

The PC in the 90s had a Turbo Button. :)

High-****ing-larious!
Stick with pouring gas out of a jerry can because electricity is leftist! Gawd you guys are a hoot! Has your air conditioner got a pull-start cord?

My current mower is electric, meaning I need a long extension cord, that gets old, but it is miles above a gas mower. But, its averaging 112 here now, and it will be for another 6 weeks or so until we may get our monsoon moisture. Yeah. my front yard is yellow and burned, but I live in a desert, water is too precious to waste by pouring it on a silly status symbol of a lawn.

Is there ANY minor thing in the universe that doesn't piss you off?

I use a plug-in electric and a 75 ft. cord. I forget what brand it is, probably a Kobalt.

I live in a rain-soaked corner of the world and if I see that a long heat spell is coming I cut the grass down to the roots. It turns a nice, calming tan colour and doesn't need cutting again till next spring.

What makes it convenient.
You don't need to get gas and slosh it into a mower.
I've gone really crazy lib lately tho and rocked the whole yard, that's even easier. This is really gonna piss you off but now I save water! I know, I know, sit down and breath!! 🧘‍♂️

I'm thinking we're not getting any moisture this summer, and we're having a nonsoon.

On my second season with it.

Awesome technology.
Came with three blade options.
One for bagging, one for mulching, and one for "extended run time" which does seem to add about 10 minutes of cutting time to battery life.

I have no complaints at all.
Absolutely rocks when it comes to vacuuming up leaves in the fall too.

On a Facebook group some people have had issues with older batteries going dead, but I have not had that issue.
Never leave a battery in mower when not using. Never leave battery on a charger that's not plugged in.
Bring battery indoors during winter, and charge it once or twice over the winter.

I see you care not for the environment.
