I want to know if do we/should we expect some kind of moral leadership fro out president? I know we expect the president to keep us safe and work for the betterment of the country, but does that include a moral aspect to the president's leadership or don't you care?

I think it always comes back to a simple question for me.

If your political leader is behaving in a manner that you wouldn't tolerate from your child, why are you okay with one and not the other?

If your son went to school and mocked the appearance of his female classmates, what would you do?

If a crippled veteran visited the school and your son attacked him and questioned his heroism, what would you do?

If he mimicked the disability of a classmate, what would you do?

If he lied to you over and over and over....more than a dozen times a day, what would you do?

If he was repeatedly caught stealing from a charity jar in the school, what would you do?

If he repeatedly made it clear he was the worst kind of bully, what would you do?

Time after time this man demonstrates behavior that I can't imagine most parents, even the most hardcore of Trump supporters, would tolerate for a second in their kids. And yet they cheer him and ask for more. I don't think anyone is demanding an angel, but something resembling even a base level of human decency might be appreciated.

Obama looked and sound presidential and could be considered a moral leader but he didn't accomplish squat.

Trump is a horse's ass but his accomplishments are many.

I think I'll take the horse's ass.

Joking right??

What has Trump accomplished?

Tax cuts, deregulation, focusing on illegal immigration, renegotiating crappy trade deals and many more.

How has he helped your life or the life of most average Americans?

Tax cuts have predominantly gone to the wealthy and corporations. Very little has "trickled down".

Deregulation is mostly beneficial to the Wall Street fat cats who will likely create another bubble that ends up bursting and taking down the economy.

Not sure how kids in cages helps you or anyone else. The wall is a failure and isn't being built.

Looking and sounding presidential is what Democrats care most about.

Keeping Hillary out of the WH. That was quite an accomplishment and effective enough to make her decide not to run again.

Congratulations.

It's almost 2020. Perhaps by then average Trump voters will be able to think of some ways he has tried to improve their lives that don't involve trolling about Obama or Clinton.

The “Kids in cages” are all Obama, and the changes Trump forced have got the economy booming. No one was expanding under Obama and my daughter is opening two new restaurants (she’s out of her mind, but she says the economy is finally ready to grow). Incidentally, she will be voting for Trump this time.

it would be nice to have a president who just tells half truths much of the time rather than an utterly pathological liar and disgusting pig of a man.

Congratulations.

OK, how about an increase in the median household annual income of about $5K?

I can't speak to moral turpitude, but I can say I demand ethical behaviour and leadership in our President. In addition, I look for leadership in uniting us. If you can't do that, get out.

Did Obama unite us?

Did Obama unite us?
I saw him try. At worst, he didn't actively campaign at tearing us apart for his own gain. That, I'll never accept. Nor should you.

What has Trump accomplished?

What makes you think people expected him to do anything but be the pompous reality star he had always been?

I do not need moral leadership from our president. My morals were formed long ago, so I’m good. What I do expect is for my president to at least not act like a completely self absorbed, spoiled rotten septuagenarian dickhead.

While he tears us apart and has us at each other's throats? What good is a slight blip in affluence, if we're not united?

Apparently you have a different view of him than those on the other side.

I had great hopes for Obama when he was elected but he turned out to be a bigger knothead than dummy Bush.

Out of morbid curiosity, who in the Dem field do you believe could unite us?

His performance never matched our expectations. But he conducted the office with dignity and decorum, and I always felt he was trying to unite us and had America's best interest at heart.
