Well it wouldn't be just for hurricanes it would be used in the event of earthquakes, tornadoes, blizzards, mudslides, floods, and god forbid another terrorist attack, oh and after Andrew hit Fl. housing regulations have become very strict.

Instead of FEMA awarding all these grants to different state organizations across the country....(one fire department in Texas asked for a grant for about $80,000 for some sort of new equipment, and FEMA gave them $200,000)...why not just stop FEMA from giving away all this extra money and make them save it for national disasters...that's supposed to be their job, isn't it? Or is this just more political payola?
