Do videogames cause violence?

If anything video games make me far less inclined to go shoot up a school or whatever. I've never once gotten through a video game on the first try without dying. Real life doesn't have extra lives or health packs.

Hello all. I recently got into a debate on whether violent videogames cause violence? Any input would be appreciated. I am a gamer myself, but am not a violent person. Sure I had the occasional scrap in highschool and early childhood for being picked on, but that's about it.

Games cause violence like spoons made Rosie o Donnell fat.
