One of the saddest facts of politics is that democrats are now reaping what years of lies and hatred have bred in their efforts to stack the voting deck against their opponents. I agree with the democrats on some issues of reform and for when they still wanted to do to. Securing our border and pulling our military out of foreign countries.

That's about it at this point.

My post was about agreeing with real conservatives. The current Republican party is not that of real conservatives. It's the party of false conservatives and cult extremists.

i agree with the democrats on a LOT of things

just not on HOW to achieve those goals

for instance....improving education....we have to do this, but how is the question (democrats want to throw more money at the problem which i believe is the completely wrong approach.....i think we need to almost start from scratch....allow parents the right to MOVE their child from one school to another if their school isnt performing....including the use of charter schools vouchers....we have to break the cycle of the kids graduating high school, and they can barely read....barely function in the adult world

ours schools are there to EDUCATE not babysit....and if the parents cant be responsible enough to help, then we NEED as a society to start taking these kids away from these parents who cant manage. I also want to hold our teachers MORE accountable for the results, and if we have teachers who just dont care anymore, it is time for them to go....the hell with the unions and their power....it is time to make the changes necessary for the kids to actually flourish and rise above.

I also agree with them on immigration....we need to do better. Our visa program is broken. It costs to much, and takes way too much time to get here legally. I understand we want to limit the number of immigrants coming in...and i agree to a point....just think we can increase this number a little and still make it a little easier and a little cheaper.

I wholeheartedly agree with the defunding put forth by Democrats. I support all efforts to defund any part of government at any level. As Republicans we need to admit when the opposing party comes up with a great idea and this is the best idea ever.

Ideologies are nothing more than human constructs, whatever the majority of American self-identified conservatives think conservatism is, is for all intents and purposes what it is. Trump is the leader of American conservatism right now.

I agree with the republicans who think their party needs an update. With the corona virus keeping people inside I think it's given a lot of americans who don't normally see too much news see more, and they don't like what they are seeing from trump and the gop.

Actually in our current political era of polarization and ultra high partisanship, both major parties disgust me to no end. There are issues where I agree with the Democrats and other issues I agree with the Republicans. It's like with Trump, I have supported him on some issues and opposed him on others. But I have done that with every other president in my lifetime. I think it's stupid to base one's support or opposition only based on the letters R and or D. How about basing one's support or opposition based on the merits of the legislation, the policy, the proposal to help solve our problems instead of just the R and the D.

If I had my way, I'd toss both major parties out the window onto the trash heap of history. Let everyone run for office based on themselves, their ideas, their possible solutions, their visions, not on a silly R or D letter.The bottom line is that I'm a free thinker and decider. I don't follow the dictates of any political party leaders like mindless robots.

In the end, it's a binary choice. Statistically, those claiming to be independents are often more partisan in their voting patterns than members of a party are. For every independent that left the RNC because they felt like the party had become too extreme, there are 3 that don't feel like the party is right-wing enough. Don't be fooled – most independents are partisans too

In the end, political parties are nothing more than reflections of their voting base.

I was stopped in my tracks by u saying children should be taken from parents..presumably bc they don't educate them properly!! Whatever that means..

OMG ... I thought this was a free country!

If people don't want to educate their children..so what? The kids are just as human...their thoughts and feelings just as valid as anyone else's...when the children grow up, they can educate themselves if they choose...but they will have a contribution to make to society regardless... Just bc they are who they are..

And don't think that all educated people are perfect, model citizens. In fact, I would say mostly they are the opposite...
