It seems that the farther to the right that Trump takes our government, the more the GOP and the MAGAs seem to defend his actions. I lately wrote an OP on this message board talking about how Trump took away money from certain universities because they refused his demand to control who the university hired, demanded certain professors be fired and decided who the university admitted. I expected even those on the right to agree with me this was an overreach, but no, their statements were basically, if you want the money you have to allow the government to control your university. To me this seemed to be something that an authoritarian government, not a democracy would do. They are already demanding control of what is taught in K-12 schools throughout the nation by limiting what they call DEI teaching. BY DEI they mean to eliminate anything to do with black, Asian or native history in our schools. All of this appears to be fine with the GOP and the MAGAs on this board and from what I read and see with most of those who support Trump.

Remember the golden rule. Those with the gold, rules. When you go to the store and carefully choose what you buy, you're not an authoritarian, no you're a informed consumer.

Universities, media, law firms, courts, businesses, he's tried to bully every group that has in the past stood up to him trying to run the country.

The good thing is, he's an idiot with a short attention span. I'm worried though because that party and their base are obviously open to a king. They'll even take an incompetent king as long as he talks bad about minority groups.

When you are convinced that the other political party is an existential threat to your way of life, you'll accept just about anything.

Huh?

They are willfully ignorant and intend on staying that way, most will not admit even to themselves trump is screwing them.
