My guess would be, He wrote the note himself just so he could start this thread.
Bumper stickers on paint, not a real smart thing to do.
Ok, the civilian contractors I was around never left the wire accept to fly to another fob, were certainly not convoy commanders, and the many I talked to made upwards of 120K per year tax free.No we were not very well paid and EVERY penny we EARNED. The ONLY difference between what we made and what we could have stateside was the tax benefits on fed side and most states. I got taxed and hard in my state of California. Most guys made around 88,000 or so depending on what you did. Truck drivers and recovery drivers made on average about 80,000 maybe a bit more north depending on how much time was put in. We were paid essentially hourly straight rate with no overtime rate adjustment. To get 88,000 you needed to work a minimum of 84hr+ week with two weeks R&R a year. Typically 4200hrs a year for 50 weeks worked out to 21 dollars an hour which a driver could easily make in the states. I made a max of about 109000 as a convoy commander and I was routinely putting in 14+hrs a day and no R&R for the year. That's for running the equivalent of 2 companies of transports and personnel. Believe me when I say with the greatest sincerity I can muster Uncle Sam got a very very good bargain.
Oh well I shall stop side tracking the thread now.

That's pathetic.
I feel sorry for you.
I hope that you got food stamps. I see no way that you could feed a family on that kind of money.
You are joking. Right? Why would you even bother going to work at all if you were going to make that? You can make that much panhandling.
 Why did you put up with such low wages? Were you using some sort of illegal drug that influenced you in your decision to work for such a cheap company that has no respect for it's employees? That's freaking slave labor.
So I work as an full time optician as I go to school for my BA. I have a some political bumper stickers on my car. At least once a week I have some leaving a noteor my car being keyed up because they disagree with me. So I was wondering does this happen to anyone else on the forum and if so what do you do. Attach below are pictures of my bumper stickers and the note on my car from today.

My favorite is "War is not the Answer." I'm like, what's the question?then it's true, war is definitely not the answer. But if it's "How do you kill large numbers of people and cause a gigantic humanitarian crisis?" then you have to admit war is the answer. If it's "How do you make a delicious turkey sandwich?"
It's hard to make a delicious turkey sandwich because turkey isn't delicious.
If you want a delicious sandwich first you throw away the turkey and get some bacon, lettuce and tomato.
I like mine on toasted rye bread.

The First Amendment works both ways. Damaging the car is not freedom of speech however.
I saw two ironic things in the OP:
1) the tag says he lives in California and the OP was surprised at the reactions he gets, and;
2) the note was written by a supposed tolerant Democrat.
Just my observation.
No, I don't have bumper stickers but do have a very small sticker on my rear window that denotes me as a combat veteran. I have had one note, and it was from what they said was a young boy, that put the note on my truck thanking me for my service, while I was parked at a Cracker Barrel restaurant. Kinda choked me up a little when I read it. I looked for him, but no one was around. And, the worst thing is, I lost the note.
If it really was from a young boy, his parents raised him right.
What you think I'd respect this guy more? Or at all?
No. I hate political bumper stickers, all of them. Its an insult to the complexity of the issues.
And we likely know the political persuasion of those who damage property and are easily 'provoked'.
I have a Darth Vader bumper sticker.
Painful. If one self-identifies with a candidate or party so deeply that they want that candidate's logo with them wherever they go, so everyone can see "hey, there goes a Romney/Obama supporter" ... well, they generally sound like someone I wouldn't want to be around. Kinda like that one guy at the end of the bar yammering about politics to anyone within earshot, while the rest of the patrons congregate at the other end of the bar desperately avoiding eye contact with him.

Very true.
I guess I didn't too bad either with mine. One day we were at Outback eating dinner, and one of my boys just stood up and walked away. I didn't pay much attention since I thought he was going to the restroom. Later on, an elderly woman walked over to our table and put her hand on my shoulder. She squeezed my shoulder and said "You sure have raised a fine young gentleman." I said "Yes. I think so." She then pointed to a table where her family was sitting with what turned out to be her husband having his 90th birthday. He was wearing a WWII Veteran hat and my son, unknown to me, had walked over, wished him happy birthday and thanked him for his service. The lady said it made her husband cry, since it was the first time anyone outside the family had ever said that to him.
When you see a veteran, thank them. That's what I've taught my sons. And that's what I try to do myself as well.
Next time you see veteran, walk over, thank them for their service and just respectfully walk away without waiting for them to say anything in return. If they're like me, it will catch them off guard, since we don't really expect or require it, so don't put them in a position to have to say something back. Just be thankful to them, and that's enough. They'll feel it inside more than you can imagine.
I know someone who somehow still has a "Mondale/Ferraro" sticker. I don't know how, his car is not from 1983. Of course once you get past the how, there's the why...
-.

You sound regretful. I think maybe you signed on with the wrong contractor.
That's pathetic.
