This is highly inappropriate. If they are going to acknowledge and admit it then Biden should pay the FCC fine. Seriously, this sort of thing is distasteful and disgraceful. We should be condemning this and the speech of Biden, not marketing it and making it out to be a joke.

It's illegal to use obscenities on air because it is vulgar language. TV shows and people are fined for violating laws pertaining to vulgar and offensive language. We do have free speech, but you don't have to use strong vulgarity in stating an opinion. You are free to say what you want, but it can't be in a vulgar and offensive way. If Glenn Beck said this I'm sure he would be fined (and rightfully so) and also have the media butcher him over it. These are our elected officials, vulgarity is a sign of immaturity. Biden should apologize and set a higher standard for Americans. it isn't acceptable for the vice president to talk like this, and it's highly inappropriate for the white house to mock this and profit from it.
 
its acceptable to me. I am not a sissy and i have no problem with using English words. The only reason that word is considered vulgar is BECAUSE it is English. Get out your paperback copy of Chaucer's Canterbury Tales ... you will find it there. You might want to think about that a bit... remember the period of William The Conqueror and The Norman Conquest when French was the Lingua Franca of most of Europe... the English people and the English language itself were considered vulgar.

and again, Joe Biden is not a night club act. He was not appearing on the broadcast by invitation, he was caught in a private conversation. He is not responsible for what the broadcaster broadcasts.

Exactly. And in that candid moment, Joe Biden said something profound. He said it all. It was from the heart. And we should be grateful for that. America loves Joe Biden! He is the salt of the earth.
 

I got some shirts that are even more highly inappropriate. It's just making a joke. Did you happen to hear Obama's joke about all this? "To quote Joe Biden, who is always well spoken..."

Yes TV shows are fined if they use vulgar language.

Which is why most TV shows will bleep vulgar language before letting it go on air. Most talk shows do this.

Now Biden is not a TV show host, nor a TV newscastor, and as such he is not responsible for what they decide to put on air. If the TV show decides to use the unbleeped version of what he said, then it is the TV show that is one the hook for any potential fine from the FCC not Biden
