Actually believing that Romney has done something illegal by having a Swiss Bank Account is akin to believing that "Bush knocked down da towers" and "9/11 was an inside job".
We have definitive proof that Obama hung around domestic terrorists Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn. What would happen if I applied your standards and emotional leaps in logic like Obama and the Democrats are doing with Romney and his "Shady Swiss Bank Account"? What could possible go wrong?
Still don't get what people are laughing at do you?
translation-a mouthpiece for Obama 2012 wants to divert from Obama's failed administration and try to insinuate that Romney has done something wrong in order to get the weak minded minions of the left to whine some more
you never asked Obama to explain his associations with known terrorists, how his wife got a 200K raise once Obama won a senate seat, or how he paid his way through Columbia and HLS (or got in in the first place)
why don' t you just admit that your goal is to smear your man's opponent and stop with the phony BS?
Still don't get what people are laughing at do you?
comparing millions of dollars being held in a Swiss bank-account, to having a few thousand dollars in a 401k that has as one of its MANY investments, shares in a Swiss bank...is the zenith of stupidity & absurdity.
caring about either or worse yet-pretending to care about one-is the height of stupidity
its the obama faithful trying to get away from two facts
Obama is incompetent
and he wants to subject America to the largest tax hike in history
...From ABC News: “Valerie Jarrett’s financial disclosure form filed May 4 lists a line of credit from a Bermuda insurance company valued between $100,000 and $250,000.” Tax experts are saying that her line of credit seems legally innocuous, and it probably is.
Andrew Stuttaford linked to an article by Matt Welch that points out that Dick Durbin doesn’t exactly practice what he preaches, either: “Is Dick Durbin protecting his million-dollar portfolio through a buy-American-only strategy? Hell no, he isn’t — why, just right there I can see such asset items as ‘ING Clarion Global Real Estate Income,’ and ‘Matthews Asia Dividend Investor,’ and ‘Morgan Stanley Emerging Markets Domestic.’”...
Err, hardly. There is nothing remotely suspicious about having a small mutual fund in 401(k) that invests some of its money in foreign bank stocks. OTOH, there IS something somewhat suspicious about have several million dollars in a Swiss bank acccount, which is a frequent vehicle used by tax scoffs and other criminals to launder money.
There is probably a perfectly legitimate explanation for Romney's arrangements, but they do raise some suspicion and -- since he's running for President of the United States -- I think it's reasonable to ask him to explain them.
100% irrelevent to the thread.
There is nothing remotely suspicious about having a bank account in a Swiss bank either, be it 5 bucks or 5 billion. There is no longer any privacy in a Swiss bank account.
That is quite an overstatement. It's true that a few accounts have been breached in recent years, but bank secrecy is still part of Swiss law and it's no easy matter to crack it. But if you were looking for an even more secretive spot, the Cayman Islands would be a great place....

Read more here: Paul Krugman: Romney's tax returns relevant - More columnists - MercedSun-Star.comPut it this way: Has there ever before been a major presidential candidate who had a multimillion-dollar Swiss bank account, plus tens of millions invested in the Cayman Islands, famed as a tax haven? And then there's his Individual Retirement Account. IRAs are supposed to help middle-class savers through annual contributions limited to a few thousand dollars. Somehow Romney has from $20 million to $101 million in his account.
There are legitimate ways that could happen, just as there are potentially legitimate reasons for parking large sums of money in overseas tax havens. But we don't know which, if any, of those legitimate reasons apply in Romney's case because he has refused to release any details.
Unless he reveals the truth about his investments, we can only assume he's hiding something seriously damaging.

No personal judgement on what she does with her finances, I agree
Having a Swiss Bank Account is not illegal. Suddenly we're supposed to vote to give the worst president in American History a second term because liberals want to distract us with "Swiss Banks = Evil. Run for your lives!" symbolism.

No its not illegal...but its pertinent to the character and intentions of a candidate for President of the United States...if Romny has the mentality that hes "ENTITLED" to not pay any taxs by any means possible...hes not the man to run this country. Heres a guy that made a fortune taking jobs from other americans and kept most of that fortune by paying less a tax rate that me...and you conservatives want to call that success ? The system was created by the likes of Romney for ROMNEYS....he is the embodiment of the born with the gold spoon in his ass...IM ENTITLED crowd...and he needs to be put down...he is not ordained to be president because hes RICH
Do you think Wasserman-Shultz is a "Romney"?
Also 100% insanity.100% irrelevent to the thread.
Doesnt matter shes not running for president
Of course you didnt. What you missed is the mindless leftist hypocrisy that implies a Swiss bank account is somehow a bad thing. Oh...wait...that should read...its a bad thing when the OTHER guy does it. sort of like 'reorganizing a business to make it profitable is 'bad' when it is Bain and associated w/ Romney, but NOT when it is Obama shutting down unprofitable auto dealers and laying off employees to 'save' the auto industry.Did I miss the development where Shultz is running for President?
What is important about the office of President of the United States that makes diversification into foreign banks so much worse than for any other political figure?
