DJT's DocsGate - exhibit A

If only we had 3-4 extra months for the Jan6 Committee to 'probe' without this sense that they need to wrap it up. It feels like right now the crap is really hitting DJT's fan and not at all in his favor.

There really needs to be a special network on tv designated to only DJT and his forever legal woes. Especially if it covered live courtroom proceedings staring convict DJT.

Seems like there was something more coming out about Docs/Gate at MAL. I can hardly keep up with all of this stuff - it all almost sounds alike.

It should help in GA though. A channel like that wouldn't even need to show reruns, Trump has so many cases all the time.

It does get to seem like 'which case is that now'?

That's what I heard this evening too.

Especially damning is that DJT signed a verification:

  • Carter said at least 33 additional emails are related to the committee's investigation and must be turned over because they "show that President Trump knew that the specific numbers of voter fraud were wrong but continued to tout those numbers, both in court and to the public."

  • As part of the appeal, Trump signed "a verification swearing under oath that the incorporated, inaccurate numbers 'are true and correct' or 'believed to be true and correct' to the best of his knowledge and belief,' according to Judge Carter.

When despair looms over us the closer to the darn midterm it gets, promising news like the article below gives me hope in our justice system. Only AG Garland can piss all over it if he shuts this down. So, November might be a good month after all. ;)

This is what it's all about: 18 USC § 793, 18 USC § 2071 and 18 USC § 1519. One brings the max of 20 years behind bars and another brings the max of 10 years behind bars. No one is more deserving than the one and only DJT.

  • Some prosecutors believe there's enough evidence to charge Trump with obstruction in the Mar-a-Lago case, Bloomberg reported.
  • The team handling the case hasn't made a formal charging recommendation to AG Garland.
  • If Trump is indicted, it wouldn't be until after the November midterm elections.

I will be glad when this election is over. I got my ballot, but there's a few things I have to read up on still. Judges, a few of the initiatives, tax things...

I have to believe Garland isn't going to ignore this. I don't see how he could, but still am not counting on it.

And this:
Barbara McQuade, the former US attorney for the Eastern District of Michigan, previously told Insider that the inclusion of Section 1519 — the obstruction statute — "suggests that Trump may have tried to conceal from the government what he had."

MAY have tried to conceal? Its pretty clear he did try to conceal, but it says she stated that previously...

I agree. He should by all means go forward full speed ahead, but he still just makes me nervous. If only there were an AG K Harris, she'd be swearing on a stack of Bibles daily that she's prepared to drop the heaviest hammer on his punk ass.

You know one day Ms McQuade is 100% sure that he's gonna be toast and then in that article that I posted as you pointed out, she uses words that drags it back to iffy town. Don't they realize that for them to speak wishy washy sometimes doesn't help my blood pressure??

I'd like an AG Katie Porter, but I'm not sure if she's a lawyer.

I hate the wishy washy too, but I'm going to give her the benefit of the doubt that she said it well before the new info came out.

Just saw this:

Me too. She's really smart and quick on the draw. You might be able to persuade me to switch over to Rep Porter as AG. lol

Don't get me wrong, Ms McQuade is another brilliant prosecutor type just like Ms Vance is - I just don't like it when they use a word that makes them appear to be backing off some after they laid things out in hard cold facts. It makes me get nervous, when we're dealing with these shyster ass Trumpy, Stoney, Bannony type lawyers and all the hijinks that they pull.

Just saw this:

Yeah - me loves some additional slaps to Graham's face. He too is another shyster slicko who is always using an over amount of screws in this so-called legal system. It's a shame that our legal system isn't set up to burn just one appeal and then it's time to man up and face the music. Guys like DJT and Graham are pure wussies hiding behind lawyers as much as they do.

Speaking of lawyers, I see that since last night the Jan6 Committee was finally able to serve DJT's 'new' lawyer his subpoena to appear before the Committee. Of course he brags about just dying to show up and tell his side of the story - but really doesn't. Pure wussie to the max!!

Now, for my good friend in Co who "wants to know" here's more orange juice for the glass pitcher. Some docs were about China and Iran. ;) That kinda makes his criminal act for stealing these docs a little more serious.

They included secret documents that described intelligence work regarding China and at least one of them described Iran's missile program, the report said, adding that the documents were considered to be among the most sensitive in the materials seized by the FBI.

The release of information in these documents would pose multiple risks, including endangering people helping U.S. intelligence efforts and compromising collection efforts, the newspaper cited experts as saying.

News, sort of - I can't read it because its a WAPO link, but....

Me too. She's really smart and quick on the draw. You might be able to persuade me to switch over to Rep Porter as AG. lol

Watching her question people when congress is having some sort of hearing makes me think Porter would be perfect.

Yep. Anything short of 'they will charge him' is anxiety causing. And Bannon didn't get nearly enough time or a big enough fine. 🤬

Good - Trump finally got served! And damn you, I just put up the link for the Iran/China stuff!! What state are you in, by the way, that you already turned your ballot in? We didn't even get ours till Wednesday.

OH. Long story short instead of me being in NC I ended up in OH for a short time that turned into forever time. Not happy with the Trump lovin fools here either. They're everywhere!! Ignorant hayseeds is all I can say.

I haven't gotten any of the Bannon news yet - so you're saying that the ugly piece of loudmouth crap got off light?? Screw that crap!!!! What the DOJ was asking for should have been tripled!!! I know that it was the max penalty for his crime but because he's a potential enemy of the state, throw those damn light sentencings out the darn window already!!! These jerks will fund off of these playtime sentencings and laugh louder day one when they get out and trust me, they'll go right back to work defending and supporting their dictator of choice asap!! grrrrrrrrrrrr

I only hope that the seriousness of what DJT stole will actually land his sorry butt in prison for hopefully at least 20 years!! We still don't know what's missing from those folders either. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Trump fools are everywhere, but I don't run into too many here. There was a little group of them that stood by one of our main streets even after Biden won - holding up Trumps signs and chanting, lol. But I never saw a single yard sign for Trump and only ever saw one truck with a Trump flag on it. Its almost heaven, lol.

Bannon only got 4 mo. jail and a $6500 fine.

Lol, I'd laugh so hard if Trump got 20 years!

Yeah, I'm very jealous. I'd not know how to act not to see tons of Trumpies all over the place.

He'll be made out as a hero and getting over the justice system with that tiny bit of sentencing. He'll come right ack out more fired up than ever. 🤢

Lol, I'd laugh so hard if Trump got 20 years!
Well, he needs to have a total of 40 years from all of these prosecution cases going on because he'll get paroled probably by half (maybe) on each sentencing and only serve about 20 years in actual time. That's why we really need a bunch of tacked on sentences to keep his butt behind bars for close to 2 decades.

Did you catch today that the DOJ needs $34 million to do it's work? I still think that once they have that money that the insane Trump House starting Jan , 2023 can't rip it away from them. I never thought that Congress could step in on the Justice Dept to stop them from doing their work - ever. Getting money from Congress is a different thing though. Gofundme.com baby!!! Let the people stand in $upport of the DOJ's work!!!

He needs to get a long enough sentence that he never comes out.

I did not see that about the DOJ, But I think someone on here said that the case was safe till 2025 (presumably up until the election, should the dems lose the presidency). I can't begin to tell you where I saw it though.

Lindsey's asking the supreme court to block his GA subpoena.

Yeah, it's my understanding as well. However, and the confusing part of this comes down to funding the DOJ beginning of 2023 (I believe). Isn't it something how obvious the T-Right shows their obstructionist ways out in the open?

Not surprising, is it? When starting this thread in this forum, it was focusing on DJT and his stolen classified documents scandal but in honesty, it also touches on his many scandals as well as other Trumplicans broiled in scandal - such as L Graham. The likes of Graham and others simply understand how to run the clock out in their final act to find enough tainted SCOTUS judges to swish away their criminal act(s). Even if they don't swish it away, the clock is still ticking until said scandal(s) is swept under the rug because time ran out. There's a good chance that Democracy will be defeated as much as that pains me to say. Radicalism is becoming the supreme operative over our nation - right before our eyes.

When recognizing some 20 years ago, give or take, that our Democracy, even then, was being challenged, those challengers were thankfully rejected. Whew that was close, I thought. For some reason, I also thought that all of that was exposed for all to see as an important learning lesson to be on guard and never allow a close call to damaging our Democracy to ever happen again. I was wrong. I had forgotten that we're a nation being dumbed with more dumber on the menu. That tv reality would ingrain into many minds the art of lying and how to push propaganda - for power. That's what became popular instead of accountability, honesty and respect - representation for equality and fairness. Nope, dishonest scandals would be a majority way of life while claiming that the other ones are destroying our nation. Leaving us collectively dealing with L Graham, Ted Cruz, Jim Jordan and MTG AND all the many rest of them high fiving it on DJT's big boat of corruption. Pure deceit like we've never seen before in our lives.

Just look at the struggle it takes to go after one traitorous criminal that is now our former president. The struggles dealing with all the rest - endless. Hasn't it almost become that we'd settle for just one - just one of these 'damn to hell' scammers supporting anti-democracy to be thrown in jail? Simply because so many all around us are basically brain dead and we've become accustomed to it all. Those who are brain dead doesn't care one flip about scandals or traitorous leadership. Nada.

Not sure if this was brought up yet in this thread, I think that it may have but I'll toss it back up just for kicks since it's currently in the news. The Donald shared his Kim Jong un letters with Bob Woodward and as he did, he admitted to Woodward that the letters were top secret and not for him to tell anybody. Well, folks need to understand that whatever is shared with Woodward, he'll enter that info into a current book of his - in which he did. So, while DJT runs around blabbering that the docs were not top secret - well he admitted to it to Woodward that they are. Oops - BUSTED! Bob Woodward has busted ole mop head several times. GOOD!!! You or somebody else may have posted this, but in case it hasn't been - it's here now. :)

Wait what?

This could be important. When was that tape made? Pre-noon on January 20, 2021 or after his transition to FPOTUS. If before, then OK, but if after that shows that the FPOTUS still considered the documents classified.

WW

DJT is claiming the Woodward tapes are his.
Basically, saying he never agreed for Woodward to make a audio book.

"
Trump appeared to concede that Woodward was the one who set up the tapes and recorded the interviews, but insisted the rights to use the tapes belong to him.

“In many ways, I like the tapes, I insist on tapes, but I also say the tapes belong to me,” Trump told Kilmeade. “So that means Woodward has to get whatever deal he made, you know, we’ll probably end up in litigation over it. Because we gave tapes for the written word, not tapes to sell, and that’s always made clear,” he said."

Makes me wonder if DJT got that in writing from Bob Woodward? imo, I highly doubt it.

From the article I posted "In one of the interviews in 2019, Trump admitted that letters from North Korean leader Kim Jong Un that were seized in August from his Mar-a-Lago compound were “so top secret,” The Washington Post reported. Yet he nevertheless showed them off to Woodward. “Don’t say I gave them to you, OK?” Trump can be heard saying on tape."

Why wouldn't they? I mean they say they want SS looked at every five years, put in discretionary spending and some even want it looked at every year (not to mention the ones that want to end it altogether), and their voters, many of whom are ON SS, don't care and still vote for them. Its just their version of Trump's shooting someone on 5th ave.

Maybe the court will be as swift in their dismissal of Graham as they were with Trump. And yes, what's happening is very depressing. But don't forget it comes down to turnout.

I still have hope that the right's push for authoritarianism can be defeated. I haven't listened to Rachel Maddow's podcast Ultra, but have heard some of it on tv.....80 years ago the situation was kind of similar to what it is now (minus Hannity, Tucker, etc), and we survived. And if we don't, it will at least be entertaining when the voters that enabled it find out it really isn't to their liking.
Just look at the struggle it takes to go after one traitorous criminal that is now our former president. The struggles dealing with all the rest - endless. Well yes, one scammer sent to jail. But for me, anyway, that one scammer needs to be Trump. ;)

I'm betting no. Woodward's not stupid, whatever else he may be.

With Trump wanting to stop the sale of Woodward's audio books, does that mean DJT does not want the visual impaired to know what was said during the interview?:giggle:

Makes no sense to me. It is ok to record and then use it to type (transcribe the interview) but Trump does not want people hearing what he says.

When does Trump make sense? Maybe he thinks that most people don't read (like he didn't, with his briefings) and just listen to books? I don't know, but I do know that my mind doesn't want to delve too far into what Trump might think on any subject.

I'll respond to your post in just a bit, but I wanted to leave this here first

Yes, cries the mighty DJT. Oh, how dare he rat me out again!! Didn't everyone know that all things belongs to me, me, me - mine, mine, mine!!!?It's the art of a dictator king narcissistic paper mob boss. Well, I guess we'll have something else to look forward to in Jan 2023. DJT's lawsuit wanting to snatch away B Woodward's property. It's too bad (for DJT) that ownership of Woodward's tapes doesn't erase what is now already known by millions of folks concerning top secret doc(s) and DJT's love letter with Jong-un + the part that DJT told B Woodward. Can't unring that bell.

Yes, it does but gotta take into consideration that DJT's great mind unclassified them, mentally, back in the past, while in the future - Jan 2021. 🤪 Especially once Woodward's audiobook came out about what took place during the interview - DJT's mental powers snapped right into action!! :ROFLMAO:
