Did Trump supporters get conned by Russians?

Dozens of those trained professionals resigned from the FBI because their politicized leader, Comey was short shrifting the investigation.

I disagree that Russia's intrusion into the election, vis-a-vie the DNC hack, which may not be of Russian state origin.



Aside from this interview being on RT TV, it doesn’t mitigate the valid points that McAfee raises, which are all technical in their basis.

McAfee’s points:
  • Compiler date / time stamp in the malware executable code shows a Russian time zone. Why would a state sponsored hacking group leave that in?
  • The compiler date / time stamp in the malware executable code shows that this code was over 1 1/2 years of age when used. Why would a state sponsored hacking group not used the updated code?
  • Forensics analysis was determined that the coder used a Cyrillic keyboard to code the malware. Why would a state sponsored hacking group reduce the number of possible suspects by using a Cyrillic keyboard rather than the more prevalent and more popular English keyboard?
  • Why would a state sponsored hacking group use an IP address known to trace back to them?

These points are unavoidable and are technical in their basis and also cast serious doubt that a professional state sponsored hacking group executed this data breach. Are state sponsored hacking groups known for such amateurish mistakes? I think that state sponsored hacking groups would be far more diligent in obscuring any data in any of the malware left on penetrated systems that would leave clues that would lead back to them. You'd think that professional state sponsored hackers would be from more professional and far more careful about leaving traces that would lead back to them.

It doesn't matter if it's on RT TV or not. The technical points McAfee raise, are independent of whether or not it's on RT TV or not.
The technical point he raises remain.

Either you can dispute those technical points, or you cannot. Which is it?

No...it's goofy left wing talking points. The rants of "fake news sites" only came about in the aftermath of Hillary Von Pantsuit losing the election. I have been following Slick Willy and Hillary Von Pantsuit's political careers since 1992. The scandals are numerous.

No you are pretending they do not exist. I'll just name couple. One old and one still ongoing. The white house travel office scandal: Hillary had the entire travel office fired while Billy Boy was president just so she could put her Hollywood producer friends (The Thomasons) in charge of it. To make the firings stick, she actually had the travel office staff brought up on criminal charges. They were easily acquitted and put back in charge of the travel office. One of the still ongoing scandals is her insanely stupid private email server and the classified emails she was sending and receiving on them. I can name many more, however I am sure that you get the point.

Irrelevant.

If the technical points that he's citing are accurate and correct, it still raises the question of why the hackers left all those clues which point to a single state sponsor.

It's either that the hackers left them on purpose to be a false trail, or that the hackers were so amateurish so as to have left them. Both cast legitimate doubts that the Russians were behind the DNC data breach.

I seem to recall that the GOP primary election was going to be the end of the GOP. It didn't happen.

I seem to recall that the GOP candidate was going to lose to Hillary. That didn't happen.

I seem to recall that the GOP party was going to fragment and disintegrate. That didn't happen, but that IS what is happening to the Democrat party.

The founders in their wisdom set up a system of self-governance which was built on the concept of checks and balances, hence the 3 branches of government with enumerated powers and limitations, and what evolved into a two-major party system. Checks and balances.

I don’t believe that its best for the nation to have a major party and a minor party, such as what the graph above would indicate, with one party having so much control where they could almost pass constitution amendments on their own. That much political power, that much control, is counter to the wisdom of check and balances.

Yes, I do hope the Democratic party regains its footing to restore checks and balances between the major political parties. It’s my opinion they won’t be able to do that continuing their careering ever further left. They need to come back to the center, as America is a center-right country.

No, Trump supporters knew what Trump was all about. They went to his rallies and heard from him directly. They had specific issues that Trump spoke to, things that nobody else addressed. Or if Hillary tried to address them nobody believed her.

Hillary was still ahead until her "Deplorables" comment. That's where her own pollsters say her prospects went South. Did the Russians make her say that? Was that a Russian lie?

You want to take all of Hillary's myriad deficiencies and problems, everything from her dismal performance as Secretary of State to her money grubbing and corrupt practices with the Clinton Foundation, her snuggling up to Wall Street fat cats, her speaking out of both sides of her mouth, all of that, and shove that out of sight and make the Russian meddling the whole reason for her defeat. I call that pathetic.
