That's not really fair. Democrats are fair, but Republicans keep giving us horrible people. Look at Reagan - he was terrible, but Democrats were so overly 'fair' that "Reagan Democrats" was a big thing and he won re-election by 49 states (as did NIXON). On the other hand, Republicans basically act like a cult with the president an enemy, they're all communists, destroying the country, etc. They have a lying propaganda machine. TAN SUIT!! My point is that attacks have become more pronounced. Trump was vilified by Democrats and deserved to be so. It’s no surprise that Republicans are doing the same to Biden, not deservedly so. I’m not taking a side, just acknowledging that tribalism is a norm.

And I'm pointing out that it's a false equivalency to say attacks that are deserved and that aren't are the same and that they're both tribalism. Saying John Gotti was a mob boss and that Elizabeth Warren is a mob boss are not both "tribalism". It's sort of an attack on the truth to have the false equivalency, treating legitimate attacks on trump and false ones on Biden as the same politics.

Perhaps, yes, yeah we did that, but it was Donny Dip Shit that came down the Golden Escalator with chips on both shoulders and bones to pick with just about everyone and everything. At least for anyone who didn't kneel before his Stable Genius magnificence and pay him the proper obeisance.

But targeting Pols, picking on them, especially presidents, is one of the oldest American political pastimes.

Trump dished out more picking shit than all the other presidents combined, in my lifetime, so if he got more picking in return that is his fault. Not like he really deserved to be left alone, by anyone.
