Denmark is threatened by Russia, it could become a target for nuclear attack

Since Im pointing out a double standard its definitely on topic. Crying foul clearly means you have no rebuttal.

It's only a desperate double standard if circumstances and 500 years of history changed to the point that South America became hostile to the US.

Your basic position is and always has been "let Russia bully anyone it wants, it's all the West's fault anyway."

Wrong, as usual. My point is that any powerful country will react if you threaten them. Its obvious you want war no matter the cost.

I understand your motive. When there is no cogent argument to the specified topic, try to muddy the waters a bit via the equivalence gambit. Weak sauce.

When you hold another country to a different standard than what you preach, youre right, it is a weak sauce argument. Thanks for admitting it.

→ Denmark is threatened by → Russia, it could become a target for nuclear attack

When there is a similar thread about Latin America, I'll be there. But this particular thread isn't it.

Big deal. So Russia might add Danish warships to it's 'to do' list in a nuclear war.

So, if WW3 begins, instead of slowly dying from nuclear fallout, now Danes will die a quick death from a direct attack.

Russia is actually doing them a favor.

Hey Putin? Do me a favor and target me with a MIRV'd nuke, will you? A quick death seems eminently preferable to slowly dying of radiation poisoning.

Being a NATO country, critical Danish military/command/industrial facilities were no doubt already in the Kremlin's nuclear targeting portfolio.

Nothing really changes. The only difference here is that an explicit nuclear threat was publicly vocalized.

Your posting history on any subject where Russia is involved says different.

While I have no love for Russia at all, this story is a bit... overblown.

First of all, Denmark has always been one of the main targets of Russia/Soviets. Why? It is the gateway to the Baltic Sea and hence the door to the Russian Baltic fleet. So it is nothing new. They invaded Denmark after WW2 and occupied Borholm for a few years.

Secondly, it came from the Russian ambassador, not the Kremlin. While the official representative in Denmark it is very unclear if he spoke on behalf of the Russian administration or himself. Why? Because he was involved in one of the biggest corruption scandals in Russia under Putin. He also accused the Swedish of smoking too much canabis over the near miss between a Russian fighter and an airliner a year ago. He looks like a loose cannon.

Is it a lame attempt of bullying sure.. is it being overblown.. big time, since he said "Danish ships" and that has some how warped into Denmark as a whole in some media.

You have no love of Russia? It's all overblown? The Russian ambassador doesn't speak for Russia? :lamo

We are use too it.. Russia, US.. bullies will be bullies.

Ahh, there's the old moral equivalence from Pete. Dependable as Big Ben.:lamo

Does America have nuclear missiles aimed at Latin America? When did the US ever get into a position to want to threaten Latin America.

Y'know, I predicted in post 2 that you'd be here with this kind of line and I should have put money on it.

Nobody took your bet, IC, because these folks are as predictable as rain in England. I could have named them without any chance of being wrong.

This particular thread is focused on Denmark and Russia. Can't you remain on topic? Why the diversion?

Diversions are the name of the game. Muslim atrocities? Let's talk about Jewish atrocities! Russian bullying people? Let's talk about those nasty Americans. It's a sickness they have.

Seems we have a new Putinista

Yeah, a new member of the club. They seem to be getting even less rational than normal these days.

Gives you some idea of the arrogance of Putin and his minions, doesn't it?

Failure to answer my points means youve lost the argument. Thanks for playing.

Oh you didn't hear Lady P. Russia offered to sell them 6-8 more Reactors. More for others to inspect, huh?

MMC... US sold a few too. TRR is US tech sold to Iran in the '60s. Halliburton sold nuclear-reactor components to a private Iranian oil company called Oriental Oil Kish. **** happens.

I am sure the Russian would say something like that in this case. Of course that would be like saying that Russia did not invade Ukraine. But you are right that the Georgian idiot was not very competent and rather clumsy.

and joG.. that **** show in Georgia (Saakashvili) is hiding out in the US and Ukraine. Has been there from the start.. he's an international criminal (charged in Georgia).

Cuba, Mexico, Panama (only exists cause of the US), and a dozen more..

I wouldn't say less rational they started off at the extreme end and are just reinforcing their position there.

Mornin AC. :2wave: Good to see ya back bro and thanks for the Info as I didn't know Halliburton and Cheney were in on that

I am afraid you will find that every one of the politicians in power east of Poland and south of Latvia are criminals in the very real sense of the word. It is only that law is not generally applied that keeps them out of jail.

True enough. Vestiges of the Soviet school of government.
