The case for independence for Greenland does not contradict EU laws at all. There are precedents in the EU. Slovakia broke away from Czechoslovakia. The Scots are not independent only because referendum did not pass

Neither does the US, for their treatment of native population overall. Greenland though does not have the economy to survive independent, they are completely reliant on financial support from Copenhagen. This is why they haven't made a big fuzz about independence, they know they lack the funds to survive.

Just because Germany was forced to give up their imperialistic land gains doesn't mean all nations will. The US for example would likely go to war to protect Denmark's right to control their imperialistic gains.
