The lawmakers praised Rep. Elijah Cummings, the top Democrat on the Oversight committee, for broadening the inquiry into Fast and Furious to include a look at American gun laws. The Maryland Democrat released a report early Thursday titled “Outgunned,” that details how ATF agents say gun laws need to be tightened for them to fight organized crime along the U.S.-Mexico border.

We are a country on the verge of defaulting on our trillion dollar loans and congress is investigating "The Fast and Furious?" What- did they bring Paul Walker on as an expert witness? I guess thats a good fit, he sucks at acting, but he would indeed make a good congressional expert on gun control policy. FAIL

Issa staffer: Gunrunner investigation points much higher than ATF director

A spokesman for House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa told The Daily Caller the congressman expects his investigations into the Justice Department’s gun walking programs to point to a much higher political appointee than acting ATF director Kenneth Melson.
Melson is widely expected to resign some time in the next couple of days in the face of political pressure from Issa’s investigations into Project Gunrunner and Operation Fast Furious.
Even if Melson resigns, Issa spokesman Frederick Hill said the Committee expects to find much more and continue with investigations.
“The investigations are far from over,” Hill told TheDC. “It’s quite certain that Kenneth Melson was not the principal architect of this plan nor was he the only high-ranking official who knew about and authorized this operation.

Oh, no! They're not investigating Fast and Furious actually, like they should be; rather they're using Fast and Furious as evidence that we need more regulations on private ownership of firearms.
The most troubling part is the use of an operation that puts the lives of American citizens at jeapordy to push for more gun restrictions.
Yeah. The old chestnut "if you outlaw guns only outlaws will have guns" is based on notion that they won't obey gun laws. Actually going out and arming the outlaws is beyond the pale.
Under the radar.
What was it someone said recently about how Libbos are all about Liberty and Freedom?
