Because it's what the liberal democrats and the progressives believe in. Your money is their money to redistribute. What you have isn't yours it's theirs. They want a much broader model of socialism and they want to run it.
I wonder how this bill plays out because Manchin had said he intended to wait until the latest numbers on the economy came out before committing. Now he has commited to support the "fight inflation bill" (BBB II) even thought he has said numerous times that you shouldn't raise taxes on the people during a recession. It appears we are in a recession despite what the Biden team claims or calls it, it isn't success.
I doubt it can make it through the Senate and nobody is going to wonder why with the economy fading and inflation rising and the democrats wanting to spend more money.

Can you explain why printed money under D's is inflationary and the tax cut in 2018 wasn't? (The tax cut wasn't paid for either, even though we were about 10 years into a growth cycle when the cuts were handed out?)

The Dems say that the proposed new law will curb inflation.
The Repubs swear that it will cause more inflation.

I do know one thing: Americans will discover who was right.

But the truth may not be known until after the November elections.
