dems crash worker bill in senate.

more lying i thought you people hate lying? i guess not.

Everybody who actually has followed this Bill knows that the $500B aa written into the Bill would be entirely controlled by Mnuchin with a stipulation that recipients not be revealed for 6 months. By the way, Mnuchin can also waive the recipient using the money for stock buy backs if he chooses making the provision that the money not be used for stock buy backs useless.

As for Donnie boy choosing pointing to Airlines, Hotels and Cruise Ship Lines, he did that quite publicly.

The Democrats are playing politics with American lives.

Mark my words, and as a result, their games will come back to haunt them Nov. 2020.
While Trump's approval for the handling of the crisis climbs, the stupid Democrats once again are showing how low they can go.

It is sad that they can't put aside their power grabs for people in trouble and people needing help.

Worst congress in the history of our country.
Calling bailouts to companies owned by people, (who all need to meet payroll and creditor demands) a "slush fund".

"McConnell ticked off the items on what he called the “Democratic wish list,” citing tax deductions to solar and wind energy companies, workplace provisions sought by organized labor and new emissions standards for the airlines."
“Democrats won’t let us fund hospitals or save small businesses unless they get to dust off the 'Green New Deal,'” he said, referring to a sweeping liberal proposal to address global climate change."

My Gawd, the irresponsibility of congressional Democrats never ends...

$500B controlled only by Mnuchin, with the recipients being keep hidden for 6 months and with a waiver for the stock buy back language in the Bill is a $500B SLUSH FUND. As Mick the quick now shuffled off to Ireland would say "Get used to it". Its a SLUSH FUND.

Ok. So why should corporations be given no-string or oversight attached billions instead of offering their ample collateral for the interest free loans the Fed is offering?

I know it is 100% the worst house in history lead by pelosi. then again her last speaker-ship was just as bad but this is worse.

Yeah. The big Mega Corps will be fine, it's unfortunate that the GOP tried to use the crisis to push through a slush fund bill for their Big Corporate buddies. They need to be focusing on the People, making sure they can get what they need to float through this time. The Corporate State will be fine, it's people and small businesses we need to look out for now.

once again democrats prove how much they hate working americans and those that employ us.

all of the democrats voted against the bill. go figure. this keeps thousands of dollars out of working peoples hands of who could use the boost.

if you are a working person there is 0 reason to ever vote for a democrat. they think your hard earned money is someone else's or they want it for themselves.

they are too busy playing politics than helping working people.

they want a whole slew of things that they failed to pass or was in another bill or they want crap that has nothing to do with the bill.

hurt americans to get rid of trump is their motto and it is disgusting.

It's absolutely astounding. I could see if they wanted a bigger aid package and claim it as theirs and not Trump's, but to hold up the works for a liberal wish list that has nothing to do with the Coronavirus is just downright evil.

No silly

Obamacare is imploding(LOL)

Didn't know that. So let's fix it, if true. Polls suggest that people like it more than before. As noted, republicans want to replace it with something better. So everyone is on board, more or less in one form or other, with expanding the national health care that already exists for vets, seniors, and poorer people.

They did it a second time. The republicans no longer have their 50 vote majority because 4 republican senators are out. The demasses are using that to delay the bill yet again.

Ok. So why should corporations be given no-string or oversight attached billions instead of offering their ample collateral for the interest free loans the Fed is offering?

they aren't. this is the lie. why do you keep repeating the lie?

If McConnel can't successfully pass his bill through the Senate, then he'll have to take-up the successfully passed House bill.

Besides, funding bills generally start in the House anyway. I have no idea why McConnell is playing games here. It's clear he can't pass his proposed bill. Let him work with the current bill he has, and get it out.
Republicans should just advertise the item in the House bill and the amendments Democrats want made to the Republican bill. Money for Green New deal is ridiculous. Nobody should be trying to hold up the country for this s***. Anyone wanting to enrich these nonessential pep projects of the democrats should be exposed. Democrats aren't being honest about who wants what. There are already restrictions spanning 2 years on how businesses can spend the money they could get from the relief bill.

Don't think it is hate as much as it is cold political calculus. They remember that in 2008 the election essentially was over when the financial crisis hit.

If that can create untold suffering brought about by unemployment created by a government mandated depression they win in a landslide.

they are still doing it. pelosi just did it again. it has 0 chances of passing.

proof is proof nothing more is needed.

i think most voters will see through it. those that can't were lost causes anyway.

Nancy shoved her bill through using her partisan items that have zero to do with this epidemic.

Democrats said they don't want money spend by coorporations for stock by back and CEO bonuses, but there is a 2 year restriction on that already. Democrats lie. They want money for the Green New Deal iniatives. Restrictions on ailine companies to force them to reduce their carbon footprint are being asked for. That's BS. This isn't about democrat liberal policy leanings, it's about keeping the economy running and moving forward. Paychecks and keeping busines and corportations open, keeping people jobs available.

mcconnell pulled a bait and switch on saturday night to allow corrupt corporations to write the bill.

Trump and his administration sat down and tried working with Schumer and Pelosi to work out something that would not only pass in the Senate but also pass the House lickety split. The House Dems are pushing through their liberal wish list having nothing to with the current crisis, knowing that it has no chance of passing in the Senate. Their behavior is downright criminal. I used to be moderate and often voted for some Dems, including Obama in 2012 but they are showing their true colors in holding out for a partisan agenda during the middle of a world wide pandemic.

Why do you keep saying facts are lies, ludin?

Well no, the corporations will not be fine, many will go bankrupt and others will take years to recover especially if action is not taken very quickly.

You seem to think businesses just have giant Scrooge mcduck vaults full of cash laying around

I think most of us know the answer to that...

We now have a gop crash worker bill in senate. :peace C-SPAN2 with the Senate shows what a catastrophe DC has turned into.

They all should be quarantined with Rand Paul in the Senate building and work from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM everyday.

Let them sleep in their offices. Have food brought in by those in haz mat suits. Lock the Senate doors from the outside.

Such are the slings and arrows of free market.

Revenue bills, Constitutionally, must begin in the House. This was just McConnell playing games to make the Democrats look bad.

Now wait a sec. Didn't Reid start ObamaCare in the Senate with some legislative 'tricks'? And it turn out as being a 'tax'?
