Democrats to Bush: Don't pardon Libby [title changed]

Re: Libby exonerated in Valerie Plame "leak" affair

But you can't compare the "justice" as Libby's fate is as yet undetermined. For all you know he could win on appeal or get pardoned and be given a nice rewarding job making tons of money by Darth Vader so that the rest of his life plays out nicely. Assuming he will rot in jail for 25 years is over the top and I'd be very very surprised if that were to happen.

BWAHAHAHA!!! We both know who Darth Vader is, right?

Re: Libby exonerated in Valerie Plame "leak" affair

Okay...that was just creepy and wrong to do to Hayden Christensen. WRONG!!!! You just completely ruined one of my most vivid fantasies...

I thought that was the best part! :rofl It was sooooo convincing.

But not to hayden christensen. What did he ever do to you(tube)?

Re: Libby exonerated in Valerie Plame "leak" affair

He like Libby, was convicted of being a big fat liar! :rofl

Clinton was never convicted of anything.

Re: Libby exonerated in Valerie Plame "leak" affair

But anyone who could watch two different appearances before a grand jury and take note of the differences in story could tell that he perjured himself in front of the entire nation.

That's right I convicted him in my mind. Just like OJ.

OJ is innocent, I tell ya.......innocent!

Yeah right.

Re: Libby exonerated in Valerie Plame "leak" affair

Touche. He was impeached for being a big fat liar.

I wonder why Bush refuses to testify under oath... :thinking

Re: Libby exonerated in Valerie Plame "leak" affair

This is very similar to those who claim Clinton's only wrong doing was a blow job and we shouldn't be concerned about who is giving who a blow job. That's bull$hit.

He, like Libby, was convicted of being a big fat liar! :rofl And like Clinton, Libby will probably not pay highly for his crime.
Liar yes, but Libby was dragged onto the stand over the leaking of an Undercover federal agent. Clinton was dragged onto the stand over a freaking blow job. Libby lied about national security reasons, Clinton lied for the obvious personal family reasons.

If you are being honest about it, Clinton was dragged onto the stand for using the Oval Office as a platform for behaving as a sexual predator. He wasn't dragged onto the stand for anything less than you and I would have been had we behaved the same way in our respective offices...

Clinton was being questioned about sexual harassment when he lied, he was not dragged to the stand for a BJ.

Speaking as a recovered Clinton hater, in the case of Monicagate, Clinton was not the predator, as inexcusable as his behavior was. The Ken Starr investigation was a partisan witch hunt culminating in what some believe was a perjury trap, and Starr's report which graphically described the most intimate details of Clinton's testimony, published in newspapers nationwide to further humiliate him. The Clinton impeachment episode was shameful, but particularly on the part of the Republicans who literally tried to destroy the man.

I understand that there was a lot of underhanded political posturing during the whole thing, but the fact remains that the man did use his authority and position to influence a young intern. In any other setting besides the whitehouse, the same thing would have happened. It just wouldn't have been plastered all over the news and would have ended in a monetary settlement.

Clinton not only lied under oath but he lied to the American people. Don't you remember the TV address, saying how his did not have sexual relations with that woman. What scares me about Clinton is if he would lie so easily over something so non essential what would he do if he really got into serious trouble.

When someone lies over something small it is a guarantee they will lie about something big.

It was "Clintonesque," but Clinton used the term "sexual relations" because he believed that it meant penetration, and didn't apply to oral gratification. He didn't believe he lied, and many others agreed with him. There are very few individuals who would not lie or try to conceal an affair. To him, it was essential to try to hide it. I don't understand why Clinton's lie scares you, but Bush's lies which have resulted in a catastrophic war, don't seem to bother you  Am I right?

Ah maybe because there is no reason to.........

Clinton wasn't the aggressor. Monica told friends before she went to Washington that she was going to get her "presidential knee pads." She is the one who snapped her thong at him. She pursued him. That doesn't excuse his behavior, however, and he should have resisted his impulses. But whether Clinton lied or committed perjury isn't as clear-cut as some think, and as despicable as his behavior was, it doesn't hold a candle to that of those who tried for 4 years to destroy his life.

You don't know that. Clinton wasn't lying about getting a blow job from a covert CIA agent. ;)

NO you could not be more wrong! Bush does not scare me because I don't think he lied. He was given very bad intelligence of which senators heard the same but no one is saying they lied. How is it that this is put all on Bush, they approved us going to war with the same info that Bush had. Hell other countries even were saying that Hussein had WMD's. Also how about the resolutions that Saddam broke time and time again, please no one lied it is the nature of the beast with intelligence. Some is good some is bad but it does not make someone a liar.

So if a BJ is not sexual relations what the heck it is? That is a very lame excuse to defend him. What was so essential that he had to hide it, he was already being sued for sexual harassment his *** was in the fire already, so oh yeah make it worse by getting caught in a lie that should really help the harassment law suit. How about be a man and take responsibility for your mistakes don't try to lie your way out of it.

They should have tried to destroy his life, he was wrong and ran instead of being a man and taking your lumps. He is a spineless a$$ who lied as easily as we breath. Let me ask you this, could you stand up in front of a nation that you are the head of and lie without a second thought? Without breaking a sweat? Without so much as a wince? He was so convincing which tells me he is a master manipulator. All I know is I get freaked if I have to lie to one person never mind stand up in front of a country.

Who the hell cares who pursued who, he has the ability to say "NO"! He cheat on his wife numerous times, lied to the American people, lied under oath, had sexual relations in the friggin oval office could you be more disrespectful. I mean really it is sad that he could not be a man and take responsibly for his screw up. Instead he stood up in front of the nation and lie to our faces.

We're talking about a country that complains about a guy lying about a bj under oath and then elects a former crack head/drunk as president. How high do you think our standards really are? :)

I disagree. While this may be a non-essential issue, how many people who have had an affair would be willing to openly admit it in public? Objectively, what he did was wrong (although since I can't stand Hillary, I don't think it was terribly wrong). To me, it's human nature to want to cover up something you did that was wrong.

I don't see how you can say that it's a "guarantee" that if someone lies about something small they will lie about something big. Possibility--yes. Guarantee? No.
