I want him to be a one term president because he is a vile, sickening, and indignant troll who deserves to be thrown in jail for his illicit deals with Russian kleptocrats.

I want him to be a one term president because his base is a violent, thuggish, and coarse group of ingrates who denigrate the decency of our government with their low standards and even worse personal displays of ignorance and intolerance.

This country cannot have 6 more years of trump without it being torn completely asunder.

Congress - at least the House - is today investigating Trump and if it uncovers crimes - they can impeach him just as previous bodies of the House exercised that same power.

You were wrong and no amount of spin or trying to move the goal posts can change that. Trump can be removed before the end of his term by two different constitutional methods.

In addition, there is a third way he could be removed and that is the way it happened with Nixon in 74 when he was about to be impeached and Republicans in the Senate advised him to resign and he did.

In fact, I have been saying this for a while now and I expect to see Trump resign "for health reasons" sometime later this year or early in 2020. And by some weird coincidence, that would give the GOP time to come up with another candidate who does not face massive repudiation in the face of possible treason and selling out the nation. And of course, a Pence pardon would magically materialize for Trump.

So there are three ways and I would say the third one has the greatest chance to happen.

Nope. That third way won't happen either. Trump won't resign and there is no reason for him to resign.

The House can investigate till the cows come home. They won't uncover anything. They know this. They have only one reason to continue these investigations: To release information to the public that can be spun to damage Trump in the eyes of the public. That's it. And their motivation for doing that is to manipulate voters into not voting for Trump in 2020.

It's all about the election.
