Democrats push to eliminate the debt ceiling, allow unlimited government borrowing

That was Obama's economy right? The deficit wasnt Trumps fault. How can the economy be?

Oh yea Trump inherited 4.75% unemployment rate and stable inflation. I guess you take credit for the good things you inherit and blame the bad things on Dems.

Again when you talk about the deficit I suggest you do better research and find out what caused that deficit rather than simply blame the President. The 2017 budget was with a GOP Congress and the deficit was totally due to increased debt service due to interest rate hikes and entitlement spending increases generated by past Congresses, cost of living. Trump's spending did not cause the deficits and in fact FIT and CIT total revenue grew due to 7 million NEW taxpayers being created due to economci policies

Then you would agree taking that deficit and adding another 50% to it with total Dem control, AFTER covid with even FULLER employment is not good? What have you done for me lately?

Man, if only the GOP controlled Congress for 4 years and had the Presidency for 2 years while controlling Congress too they could have done something. Shucks!

then he followed up by blowing off Covid. Also, remember, everything in the first 6 months of 2017, belong to the previous president...which would be Obama.
Trump right now holds the worst job record of any living president. Our economy lost 2.9 million jobs. Unemployment was at 6.3% in 2021. He increased our trade deficit (which he promised to reduce) by 40.5%. The number of people lacking health insurance rose by 3 million. The federal debt held by the public went up, from $14.4 trillion to $21.6 trillion. Illegal immigration increased. Apprehensions at the Southwest border rose 14.7% last year compared with 2016. (so much for closed borders eh?) The murder rate in 2020 rose to the highest level since 1997. Our economic growth rate was at -3.4%.

Why is the debt all of a sudden important to you when it wasn't during the Obama term? Seems that 8.1% inflation and 6.5% inflation should be more important than debt service but all that does is give you something to divert from the disaster you helped put into the WH. What private sector pro growth policies has Biden implemented?

Lmao your own chart shows the deficit being cut by $1trillion by 2032, and droppinv from 12% GDP to 4%. Did you actually read the chart? Is the twighlight zone??

Wait. You don't realize this entire conversation is me laughing at your hypocrisy in the face of self proclaimed fiscal conservatism and defending trash that isnt remotely fiscally conservative?

The chart shows the deficit increasing from 1.4 trillion last year to 1.8 trillion in 10 years, adding another 14 trillion in debt. Which is DOUBLE what is was prepandemic.

Yes and as usual you show the typical liberal attitude where you claim you wanted to stop the spread of the virus thus supported the economic shutdown created by the mayors and governors when all you wanted was the negative numbers to blame on Trump so why don't you tell us what the D's have done that warrant this support? You like the 8.1 and 6.5% inflation? You like the open borders, massive crime increase, and disastrous WH operations of today all because of your misguided hatred of Trump?

You going to tell us exactly what Trump policies hurt you and your family? I can tell you that silence will be the right answer. It isn't the President's responsibility to provide you health insurance, that is state and local responsibility. It isn't the President's job to raise the minimum wage, that is state and local responsibility. Yes your entire laugh shows complete and total ignorance when it comes to responsibility and spending. You certainly aren't getting that with Biden so why the focus on Trump? The results pre pandemic under Trump were the best of any President in modern history, 7 million NEW jobs created in 3 years, 900 billion dollars per year in GDP dollar growth, historic repatriation of overseas cash, 2% or less inflation and that is what you should be looking at and what really impacts you

Gave you the line items in the budget ands still you cannot admit being wrong. They also knew about the debt ceiling for even longer than that since they voted to suspend it last year, and were around when it was raised a decade ago. What did they do last year besides increase the debt to 10 trillion over the previous ceiling?

This would of course be disastrous. We are already paying 500bn a year just to service the existing debt. Removing the limit altogether would remove one ability to limit excessive spending, which would further increase the debt leading to further wasted interest payment and more fiscal crisies, and slow the economy.

And of course they don't want a balanced budget amendment. They love a good omnibus bill in the middle of the night just before Christmas.

Wow a deficit increase of $40bil per year over 10 years. And Trump went from $475billion to $1trillion in 2 years.

Sounds like Trump and GOP sucks
