how do you think republicans wound up with the most power of any party since 1928 - because democrats don't know how to govern.
Keep telling yourself that. The fact is Republicans don't know how to govern, that is for sure. Its a mess in congress and the White House now with the clowns in charge.
The economy did play a part for some voters and it's a case of "the grass looks greener on the other side". When Trump fails to deliver on his promises and the economy keeps going at a slow rate they will realize their mistake. You complain about tax and spend, but seem to favor tax cuts and spending instead. How did that go for Bush and how did that economy go on his way out? Oh yeah it took a Dem to clean up the mistakes of a Republican and now we'll be right back in the same **** hole or worse when Trump leaves office. Yeah, go ahead and pat yourself on the back for not giving a **** about other people.
Without a majority of the Working White Vote, the Dems will never win another national election.
Live by the Race-Card, Die by the Race-Card.
The Democratic Party is now dead, dead, DEAD!
It just doesn't know it yet!

What on Earth does that have to do with what I posted? Is the left going to learn anything from their loss or not?
From your post: "One finding from the polling stands out: A shockingly large percentage of these Obama-Trump voters said Democrats’ economic policies will favor the wealthy — twice the percentage that said the same about Trump."
Try to keep up with your own posts.
And this is a good thing for your side?
Will they listen to themselves or will they continue saying it was voter turnout, Comey, the Russians, gerrymandering, and the EC? Did I forget anything? It's so hard to keep track of the looney left.

Ummmmm. Did you read the article? It wasn't about cherry picked stats from Mother Jones. It was about Democrats own analysis of why they lost.

I don't have to tell myself anything.
I only need grin at the election results map turning more and more red...
... and laugh.

You mean if the economy grows at Obama's rates?
Did you say the same thing in 2006 and 2008? Didn't think so.
Democrats have a nasty habit of assuming that almost everyone who matters buys into their press releases, that the groupthink they control from on high is working. They are doing it even Post Trump.

Post Trump?
Clinton was a terrible candidate who ran a terrible campaign. She still got 3 million more votes. But because of her terrible campaign, the three states that flipped were completely ignored.
It's like winning the archery competition because your opponent found a way to shoot themselves in the elbow.

Except for the part where Trump was saying from the escalator ride onwards WASHINGTON SUCKS!, that something needs to be done about Washington.....sucking..........so bad.......that they gave us Hillary....and JEB!
Clearly you dont want to listen so I have wasted enough time on your education for now.
No. It's a hard fact. Republicans suck on the economy, often crashing it: Hoover, Ike, Nixon, Ford, Bush Sr, Bush Jr, now Trump. Democrats, OTOH, usually usher in boom times: FDR, HST, JFK, LBJ, WJC, BHO.
Couple exceptions are Carter and Ronnie. But, Ron Ron drove up the debt, which we are still stuck trying to pay down.
Dems lost because they put up a candidate with luggage.

They voted for Trump because they lost their jobs and the Dems didn't care. That's what the Democrat's own analysis found. It didn't have anything to do with race or religion.
Not relevant to the basic facts: Republicans tank the economy. Democrats grow it.
Meh, plenty of hard working blue collar men and women who are black, "hispanic", and Asian support them. The Dems haven't abandoned anyone really, their platform is still the same. That blue collar white voters left them to support the GOP and an idiot like Trump is on them. I'd like to think they'd regret it, but they never will, and will continue to vote against their own best interests because of race and religious reasons.
