Typically it means schooling. Many times now days those degrees aren't worth the paper they are written on.
What a nonsensical declaration. And this is historical. Want to be a teacher, Professor, doctor, scientist, military Officer, or accountant? Might need a piece of paper. Want to be a plumber, contractor, or electrician? Might need certifications and licenses. Of course, if you are incapable of running a small business (as so many are), this is where you might want to find a proper bookkeeper, accountant , and/or a CPA with a piece of paper. So much for what your perspective of reality.
But this is what people like you do. For the longest time, people like you have created the "conservative" mood that anybody who talks facts and holds up evidence deserves a "that's your education talking" as reply. For the longest time, denigrating universities as cesspools where "Libs" are created has been your way of excusing yourselves from opening a book. Nobody has done this to you. You all have celebrated your lack of education and understanding as a national pastime or as a form of loyalty to the Republican Party for far too long. How enthusiastic are Republicans to promote people like Boebert and Marjorie Taylor Greene as their intellectual representation? And Greene's dumb ass has a Bachelor of Business Administration! Consider this:

And here you are, creating a Thread about how education is "worthless." Are we proud of this? In the meantime, you have Trump, America's leader and supposed leader of the free world, declaring boldly during a pandemic that he knows better than health officials and scientists. You have the GOP pushing a sad policy to deny Global Warming (after promoting it's truth in the 1970s and 1980s.) You have most Republicans in 2016 still believing that Obama had no birth certificate (eight years later). You have Congressional leaders warning you about "Pizza parlor sex shops" and "Qanon." What did Greene say? Oh yes, she was tricked by the Internet. You have Congressional leaders peddling lies about election fraud, of which so many of you still choose to believe. And you have one idiot after another Googling up, after the election, if "ObamaCare" and the ACA is the same thing (fourteen years later). In other words, America is getting dumber on purpose. Why vote on matters of economy or foreign policy when you can vote on a" war on woke" or a "war on your appliances," things that the Republican Party embraces. You know, what they push as "issues" now.
I submit to you that so much of America is so completely wide open to being manipulated and left in the dark because they simply can't know any better. They arm themselves with nothing. They have decided to stop exercising their brains with that High School diploma and have ever since relied upon the deceitful, disinformation-peddling hack on television to comfort them. And do you need a higher education to understand reality? No. One merely has to read and develop some common sense. Because so much of education is about arming yourself with the general understanding that creates common sense. Now, people will tell you that they read. But they will not tell you that their home libraries are all about Harry Potter as they cheer for the new book ban list in libraries.
