Democrates are so stressed

It WOULD NOT Matter if they came up with the PERFECT Single Payer system...

Working Whites will be systematically denied at the claims end... just like they are being denied right now!
Prove your assertions, Kurmugeon.

Why all that whitey stuff? I am white. I am never turned down because I am white.

 Who got the most votes last time in the presidential election? Who got ELEVEN MILLION LESS VOTES of the total for president?

Let's use some common sense, please.

Common sense is gone on that side.

The nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office provides cost estimates on proposed legislation.

https://www.cbo.gov/about/products/ce-faq

Still not sure what the hell you are trying to say. By posting that link you give me the impression that your criteria for scoring is how it effects the deficit or the debt, IE the cost to the government. If this is the case Trumpcare beats Obamacare hands down.

I too have VA and it is a wonderful government program. As was my military program when I was active duty. As it was when I was young and Dad was on active duty.

Thank you for your service.

And, yes, single payer is inevitable.

I disagree. Most Americans are wise enough to know what a mistake that would be.

Enough Americans supported Team Trump wherein he became POTUS. That anomaly does reflect well on the overall intelligence of Americans. This inspires some of us to continue our efforts to change the current state of affairs and to work even harder in pursuit of betterment. America can do better, lots better than Team Trump. Please do not give up hope!

You learned absolutely nothing from Hillary Von Pantsuit's defeat.

You referred to me as son. It does not quite feel right calling you dad. Under current Law, I qualify for Medicare in Fall 2021.

I qualify in late 2018.

I have minuscule influence to affect Legislation. Like most people, I assess my options, then try to make the best choices for my situation.

ll we have are our votes or calls and letters to those who write the laws.A

Peace to you and yours!

Peace to you and yours as well.

I don't know what you have done for a living or your educational background. I work as a self-employed Realtor/Real Estate Broker. I have a technical Business degree. My background has included studying statistics, eco-stats, quantitative methods, proforma for developments, interpreting financial statements and using estimating tools.

To the best of my knowledge, neither government nor private entity, have come up with a more accurate predictor of how specific proposed federal legislation might affect society.

Maybe this analogy can help give you perspective: with all unknown variables equal, do you feel you can get just as good work out of an unlicensed contractor as a licensed one? I consider the CBO as the most certified, high quality, nonpartisan source for predicting the affect of proposed legislation. You may have your reasons for not deeming the CBO as a credible source. I truly do not know of a more credible one.

If, in fact, the ubiquitous they come up with any system that denies claims to Working Whites, you might consider appreciating not having a job.

Have you ever wondered why Pigeons crap on some people more than others?

Considering the fact that I have never been crapped on by a pigeon or any other bird, I assume they are aiming at democrats. :lamo

I don't think you're really understanding me so I'll try harder. What specifics of the CBO report do you want to concentrate on? Most of the left only care about the part that states how many more people will be insured or uninsured. I say that doesn't matter because the Republicans want to have a health care plan that does not force people to have health insurance that they don't want to pay for so if 15 million people choose not to buy health insurance then that part of the CBO report means nothing.

You learned absolutely nothing from Hillary Von Pantsuit's defeat.

You have not given me any reasons to respect your judgment. I have only voted for Hillary one time... and that one time occurred in this past General Election. I voted in Florida. Trump took 58 out of 67 counties. Out of roughly 9 million votes cast in Florida, Trump won by about a 120K margin and took the 29 EVs.

Maybe you don't believe Trump lost the National Popular Vote. His victory did not give him much of a mandate. Just about daily, he displays gross incompetence. I hope you feel gratitude like I do that our government has the resiliency to operate in spite of his incompetence.

Peace to you and yours as well.

If you have any math proficiency and common sense, you can quickly figure out the roughly 3 years difference in our age would make references to me as your son utterly ridiculous. With regard to humans, it might happen in rare instances in a step-relation or adoptive situation.

Thank you for the good tidings and civil discourse!

The truth is no one ever really has a mandate but both parties always claim it when they win. If Hillary would have won with 65 million votes to Trump's 62 million votes, that is not a mandate either. She campaigned on a theme of "Stronger Together" but anyone with any common sense at all realized that together only meant the left as she would have declared a mandate and railroaded a bunch of liberal policies and Supreme Court nominees through without any thought of being "together" with the people she referred to as deplorables.

You seem obsessed over the penalty portion of ObamaCare. Have you ever filled out an IRS ACA worksheet? If someone does not qualify for an exemption, they may be penalized up to a max $695.

I have done the worksheet. I don't really like the penalty. I sure do not get jacked up over it. This issue can become one of the issues addressed in reforming Healthcare.

I have a former roommate, 55 years old, who works as a cab driver. The ACA provides him insurance. He has a zero premium per month plan. My wife and I Love our affordable ObamaCare Silver Plan.

We did our homework. We found a plan that works well for us.

Do you think intransigence inhibits common sense?

Unlike lefties, I am not going to call you a liar or refuse to accept the fact that Obamacare has helped many, probably millions, including you. But the left seems to refuse to believe that there are many, probably millions, who have been screwed by Obamacare, my family and I being one example. The left absolutely refuses to acknowledge that there are many Obamacare horror stories. I do realize that Obamacare is not the same everywhere and I hope you realize it to. Not only are all states different but localities within the same state can be different. There are many spots around the country where Obamacare is in it's final death spiral. Maybe in Florida it is flourishing. And, it does seem that since Florida has an aged population that they are way better off under Obamacare than they would be under the Republican plans or in other states where maybe the general population isn't as old as in Florida. One size does not fit all and Obamacare has been a massive failure in many places. I am against Obamacare and I am also against both Republican plans because none of them actually do a damn thing to get at the root causes of the rising cost of healthcare. The left's solution is always charge the tax payers for more subsidies to both individuals and the insurance companies or to raise taxes on the rich. It is never about controlling costs, other than to pay providers less and less money as their costs go up and up. This is the main reason I am against "fixing" Obamacare, because fixing means charging more to the taxpayers or increasing taxes. It's not about controlling the rising costs to the providers and others providing the health care.

You have absolutely convinced me that healthcare access became less affordable and lower in quality for you and your family as a result of ObamaCare.

The GOP holds balance of power to initiate positive changes. We both see their efforts, so far, to repeal ObamaCare or make substantive changes without DEM support, have not gained traction.

I speak out, post and do what I can to influence policies. Truly, I know better than to think I have anything but minuscule influence. When those with real power ultimately make their decisions, I assess my options, then make my choices.

I wish you and your family the best in health!

You mean like 2016 when the left all said the Republicans were done, even after six years of steep Democratic losses?

Funny thing is, there was more evidence to support that assertion than right now. I mean even when you guys win, you win by razor thin margins, and still lose the popular vote. And you won against the least popular Democratic candidate...ever.

Prove your assertions, Kurmugeon.

Why all that whitey stuff? I am white. I am never turned down because I am white.

Conservatives are obsessed with race. Want proof? They elected a race baiting birther to the presidency.

Dream on.

White voters are abandoning both political parties, and are becoming registered independents. If the Republicans ever get less than 50% of the white vote, they are finished for good.

Unless of course they stop pandering to the far right, in which case they can challenge the Democrats for a chunk of minority voters. Read the 2012 GOP Autopsy report that accurately shows what the GOP needs to do to be relevant in the future. And no, Donald Trumps election doesn't change the accuracy of that report.

Obama arguably had a mandate in 2008. His win was 100 times more impressive than Trump's in 2016.

McConnell controls committee appointments. He hoped to shepherd in a new Senate-version GOP Healthcare bill without needing any DEM support, much like the DEMs passed ObamaCare without GOP support. For all of McConnell's intense maneuvering, so far his efforts have not succeeded. GOP infighting, the really lousy CBO score and the strong Partisan Divide do not make for any bright prospects short term.

Many of us remain in the crossfire, with our future prospects and options for Healthcare coverage uncertain. Right now, I Love my affordable ObamaCare Silver Plan!

True. I've heard, really for the first time, that McConnell is some kind of a Svengali when trying to pass legislation. Not working this time.

Even with lipstick, this pig is still a pig.

You have actual experience with Obamacare.

Is the coverage individual or family? What is the monthly premium? What is the deductible? Is there a co-pay at the doctor for office visits? Is preventative covered 100%?

I hear lots of "It's great!" and "It's the worst thing ever!", but honestly, I have not heard a good representation of the plans from an actual user.

If it's not too much of an intrusion... Not trying to nose into your private business. Just wondering.

My wife did thorough research. She found a Silver Plan serviced through Florida Blue that covers both of us. It includes Preventive Care. We can defer income in our Real Estate Business to benefit from the subsidy provisions that tie into income. The Healthcare.gov people require income verification and they scrutinize documents. We qualified for over $1000/month subsidy.

Using reasonable projections for the entire 2017 year, including monthly premiums and all out of pocket expenses, I expect a total cost to us at about $2500 this year.

My wife had one pre-existing condition. I had two. We have already successfully addressed them. Without insurance, the one operation and two treatment procedures would have cost about 300K. We both massively increased the quality of our health and life expectancy by more than 20 years each.

Either of the new proposed GOP plans, if turned into Law, would make Healthcare coverage unaffordable for us. Fortunately, we had a banner year this year in addressing our healthcare needs! I qualify for Medicare in 2021. My wife, 49, works out compulsively and has an exercise instructor's physique. We pray for good health going forward!

We have dental work planned for this year without any coverage, probably in the 50K range...ouch! We have real estate equity to cover it.

I hope my testimonial provides you helpful information. May our Best Times lie ahead!
