Democrats know what the problem is. When are they going to quit talking about it and do something. They are losing their support due to the inability to act.

Joe Manchin needs to be brought in line. If not then the democrats will suffer in 2022.

The problem is that the Democrats are pushing policies which are not as popular as they think they are.
Rather than adjust to that reality, they declare that opposition to such policies is a threat to democracy.

Which policies are not popular?

Perhaps a large carbon sequestration program which involves buying a lot of coal from some mines and then reburying it in other mines might be something that could be done to pass the time while Democrats try to find the votes for a voting rights carveout.

Lol.. we spend almost a trillion a YEAR on defense..
why do you all always bring up defense?
has the mission changed?
are we shutting down bases all over the world?
is NATO now going to handle Russia in Europe alone if needed?
the democrats vote for the defense spending as well as the GOP does....until we CHANGE our philosophy and our stated missions, DEFENSE isnt going to change

You understand that, right?

The OP is about the Democrats losing support and their need to do 'something' to arrest that slide.
The Democrats are free to think that calling for spending less of defense will achieve that objective.

Which policies are not popular?

Using 10 years of increased taxation to ‘fully pay for’ 1 year of a new social program like the expanded refundable child tax credit. More tax breaks for those earning (often well) above the median household income.

You've no evidence to support what you say. The evidence is that Dem policies are popular. Dems are not speaking out that opposition to Dem policy is a threat to democracy. But I don't need to prove you wrong. The burden of proof is on you to prove your own assertions. Assertion w/o evidence can be dismissed w/o evidence. Without evidence, your claims are unfounded.

Who’s taxes are being increased to pay for this?

LMAO… we have ended two wars and the defense budget keeps going up. Do you think if we put the choice between universal pre-k and a 5% decrease in defense spending the majority would choose defense?

Dead right OP. Only the Dems aren't hardly talking about it. Lousy messaging on policy and few words in defense of democracy nor against those who attack democracy. But yeah. Action speaks louder than words. Just be keen on selling those actions to the public.

And yet-- the Democrats are not able to push through those thing for which they are heavily vested, via the standard and traditional ways.
Instead, they are threatening to overturn 'norms; of government in order to achieve their objectives.

Lost wars is more accurate.

But yes, perhaps the Democrats could make an argument as to what exactly does all that that spending get the USA, and examine what exactly are the priorities at the Pentagon.

Who sees inflation? The best part is that the BBB bill has no chance of passing in the Senate.

LOL... Afraid to answer the question? Do you think the average American gives two shits whether people like Musk, Bezos, Zuck, etc. pay a little more in taxes?

It's not just Manchin, although I do agree he needs to be dealt with. There are 50 anti American Republicans who are also deliberately standing in the way of progress. They must be dealt with as well.

majority?
majority of what? people? sheep? congressional critters?
because the only ones that matters are the latter
when are you going to realize that?

Absolutely!

We can’t have a democracy unless Democrats have an iron grip on everything. We don’t need a “Republicanocracy” or a “Moderateocracy” and the idea of a “Bi-partisanocracy” would look good for the headlines but we all know that what we really MUST have, no matter how we get there, is a “Democracy”

Thanks for the link... So WHO would see a tax increase?
Here's the irony. When there's more equality, taxes are more unequal. The more the rich take bigger and bigger shares, the bigger share of taxes needed falls on them, and the more unfair they feel taxes are. If they take 99% of the wealth they think that's fair, but if they have to pay more taxes because of it, then taxes are unfair.

I haven't once heard Biden, Harris, or other party leaders say 'this is our agenda, but we need more Democrats elected to pass it. We are 1 or 2 votes short'. Instead, they're looking bad claiming they'll get it passed for a year.

No because they are not educated enough to understand that any tax increase the wealthy see gets passed down to consumers below them. Those people, usually Democrats, cheer the tax increase then bitch and complain about increasing prices trying to blame anything and everything other than their own policies.
