The number of deaths by gunshot in the United States of America, year to date, stands at 3,416. That's an average of 43 each day. The hot days and the overheated tempers of summer lie ahead.

Of those 3,416 deaths, 50 were children aged 0-11 years. Another 242 were teens ages 12-17. That's a total of 292 children's lives which were cut short by a bullet, slug or shot. That averages between 3 and 4 children killed each day somewhere in the United States of America.

Based upon the data thus far, 2024 is on track for a total of 15,826 deaths by gunshot.

Regards, stay safe 'n well . . . 'n un-shot.

Hi, SNOWFLAKE, my Canadian friend.

Those deaths are the price we in the United States are willing to pay so that immature men can dress up in camouflage suits and play little boy games in the woods with their guns.

An expensive luxury, wouldn't you say? But then, we're a rich country. We've plenty of people still available to be killed by gunshot. Last I checked, there were some 336,188,000* of us. And estimates are that we have over 393,000,000 guns. How about that!

Regards, stay safe 'n well 'n un-shot.

I get camouflage in the woods... but I'm constantly seeing camouflage in cities. I don't think some people grasp the concept.

Yup, and you don't. Have fun with that spoiled brat commie dictator of yours. They should have the Canadian gulags ready soon.

We wouldn't mind at all if you left. Go to Canada, for instance.

Hi, my fellow American,

Were I to go to live in another country, Canada would certainly be on my short list. One reason is how those Canadians I know view us: as teenagers who, given time, may grow up to be passible adults. That's certainly better than how we Americans are perceived in a number of other democracies.

Meanwhile, I'm quite comfortable living in one of America's larges cities, New York.

Regards, stay safe 'n well . . . informed.

If you love pure communism, Canada is a great choice.

Hi again, my fellow American.

I doubt I could characterize myself as loving any theoretical governmental system. It's a rather strong emotion. Thank you for taking a personal interest in me. That's a sweet thing to do, but unnecessary.

I must admit that I was unaware Canada was a good place to go to discuss pure communism. Given modern internet capabilities, I don't see it as important where someone is physically when discussing theoretical governmental systems.

Meanwhile, we seem to have drifted quite a distance from the subject of this thread, so I'll stop this line of conversation now.

Regards, stay safe 'n well and, of course, un-shot.

What nonsense. You can't support that in any meaningful way. At best, it is a duplicitous expression of unbridled bigotry.

We probably have more nearly half a billion guns. You might have noticed that only the tiniest percentage are ever used in anything but a peaceful manner.

They love their Dear Leader Trudeau. He led them down the primrose path to a highly socialistic regime, and that has finished yet. It takes time, it's not a revolutionary approach....think about how they boil the frog.

Always with the most lowbrow, primitive, whiny, childish, and petulant rebuttals. But then again, we don't expect better from you.

Shame that the only response you can come up with is trolling me.

How many kids died slipping in the bathtub?

what are we going to do about all those violent people ?

How many kids died slipping in the bathtub?
Hi, eman623.

An interesting question. I'll not bother to look it up, however. Knowing the figure will not, as far as I can determine, reduce the number of people killed by gunshot by a single instance -- a single life.

Regards, stay safe 'n well 'n un-shot.

It was a rhetorical question. The point was that society is not going to ban bathtubs. Or cars, which have a higher rate of death than guns.

And I will stay un-shot. Mostly because my particular chance of being shot are well below falling in the bathtub (or shower in my case). I take a shower every day. I do not associate with violent criminals.

The OP doesn't care. Nor does he care about the ~440,000 Americans who are killed annually every year due to preventable medical malpractice. The OP's myopic goal is to deprive Americans of their inherent rights, and no deaths matter more than his sick and twisted agenda. Millions die every year, but only those ~15,000 killed by firearms matter to the OP. This is a clear indication of the mental disease possessed by all leftist filth.

Ever notice how camouflage makes people stand out?

Then you are obviously doing it wrong, but that isn't surprising for a Canadian.
What a stupid post.
The topic, Glitch, had you bothered to read the exchange, is wearing camouflage in the city.
Course, it might be the obese belly pooching out between the buttons that makes urban camo wearers stand out.

today, 175 million gun owners who have 450 million guns and billions of rounds of ammo did nothing wrong

if we were the problem, ya'll would know it

What a stupid post.
I completely agree, your post was indeed incredibly stupid, but that kind of stupidity is always expected from Canadians.

I am well aware of the topic, and you clearly have no clue what the word "camouflage" even means.

No, that's not clear at all. There's absolutely nothing indicating that I don't know what the word means. That's just more of your usual juvenile schoolyard bickerage.
