Darren Wilson’s first job was on a troubled police force disbanded by authorities

Dang, that's gotta be bad. I don't think I've ever heard of anybody getting banned from Walmart.

My husband got banned from Best Buy once because he told the manager to go find a grown up that he could talk to.

And so begins the trashing of the policeman. I hate this sort of thing regarding any of the people in an incident. It has no bearing on the facts of the incident. But some stupid people will believe this trash because it feeds into what they want the outcome to be.

1.) This info was made known shortly after the Officer was identified.
2.) It isn't relevant.

One of my kids is banned for life from a particular Walgreen's on the opposite corner from the high school. Fighting.

Been there, done that. I can sympathize with your husband except I never got banned.

Roughly 50% of everybody comes from a broken home these days.

What on Earth is it supposed to prove that his parents were divorced?

I laugh now, but was pretty pissed when it happened. I had a buggy full of stuff I was ready to buy.

Can they even do that?

It wasn't like your husband assaulted anyone, after all. The manager doesn't actually own the property either.

What was the guy going to do, have the employees throw him out?

I bet I could really get along with your husband. I get in trouble with my wife for stuff like that a lot.

Probably not, they would have to find an adult to throw him out.

bingo

The surveillance video from the store is pretty damning.

But what if you hadn't been told in advance what was happening. Do you really think you'd read it the same way? Perhaps not. I read a completely different version of events before I saw it and I could see the influence it had on how I saw things.

Even if it unfolded exactly the way conservative media has sold it, it's utterly irrelevant. It is in fact, no more relevant than these stories about his cop.

The only thing that actually matters is what happened in that moment when he was shot.

So does it then automatically follow that he would charge a police officer in a confrontation? No, it doesn't

he brought security. Apparently the manager had this wicked Napoleon complex. Yeah it was funny. He was arguing with the manager, and the manager told him that he needed to leave the store because of his attitude. Hubs laughed at him, and told him to come back with a grown up. A real manager. He came back with a couple of security guards, and my husband was like, "I have to go find my wife!" and he ran. Hilarious when I think about it. I'm flipping through video games, and he comes running towards me with this big grin on his face, security guards and this little wet-behind-the-ears manager running closely behind. "Leave the ****, honey! I'm getting banned!"

And then we were escorted out.

Before he was shot, the officer was told about the robbery. Originally, he didn't know about it. Then, when he was told about the robbery, things started to go south.

You can't unring the bell. He knew about the robbery, he told the guys to freeze. They didn't.

Nice. :lamo

Honestly though, you probably could've gotten the little twat fired if you'd complained to corporate.

Then he must have also known they were unarmed. They "allegedly" took cigars for gods sake.

I was too pissed at the time. We snuck in a couple of months later and the guy was gone. He was probably transferred to Toys R Us or something more suited to his speed. And size.

"Couldn't care less" is what you're going for. And now my feelings are hurt.

got me on that one. (argh)

You're feelings are hurt  riiiiiiiight

How was he supposed to know they were unarmed? He probably left behind his police-issue x-ray vision goggles that day.

And they didn't look like they were "allegedly" taken from the store. The video was pretty clear. Looks like the owner was pretty pissed off about it, too - at least until he was grabbed around the neck by that sweet, innocent little ole' college bound, wide-eyed innocent. Why would the owner be going nuts if they hadn't taken anything? The guy wasn't an idiot. He was half the size of Brown.

So you post this then try and distance yourself from it because nobodys reaction was like, oh this changes everything!! Its sooo blatantly obvious what your motives were, and that was to sway public opinion about this cop. And you failed miserably. :spank:
