Before today, Alex Sink had his work cut out for him, but with McCollum and Scott beating up each other badly on the Republican side, there was a possibility that Sink might prevail in the Governor's race. Not any more. Lawton Chiles III, son of a popular Democratic governor, has entered the race as an Independent, and will split Democratic votes.

Alex Sink's last name is a perfect one-word description of Democratic chances to take the Florida governor's office this fall. Sink is certainly going to sink.

This is my prediction. Florida Governor = Easy GOP hold.
