This speech from Micheal Knowles has been circulating recently. I see many conservatives say that they don't agree with gender ideology but that they respect everyone. Or that they don't agree with children transitioning but that consenting adults can do as they like. To those people, can you understand why the left is concerned? I've seen many people on this forum mock threads where someone says conservatives don't want trans people to exist. That is it only about protecting kids and women's sports.

But here is one of the largest conservative pundits saying the only way forward is to eliminate transgender people from public life entirely. That transgender people aren't a "real category of being". What would that even look like? Bringing back the laws where you could only wear "3 pieces of clothing from the opposite gender"? Laws banning "men" from wearing makeup? Seriously think about it. How would you even go about legally removing the ability for someone to be trans without some the most draconian laws dictating clothing styles and appearance conceivable?
