I had issue with them during the Bush years because of why they supported Iraq and how they did it. It came down to merely obeying the Party wish of the day. They proved that the moment they began falsely shoving their responsibility for it off to Obama, betraying the troop that they enthusiastically sent into Iraq in the first place.

if you read my statement that I pointed you to, you would see the points I was making, but you didn't, instead resorted to yet another personal attack.
if you really prefer to use those small-minded tactics, I won't complain, personally I would feel like a fool addressing people the way you do, so whose feelings are really hurt? not mine, I will just ignore you from now on. hope you can deal with that.

Trump did not collude with Russia to steal the 2016 election. It was a lie from the start and you fell for it. You are still falling for it 4 years later. Its Collusion Trutherism and you are all in.

No. The Left did not go around lying about the election being stolen and then raid the Capitol. That was a Right Wing thing.

There are plenty of issues that need to be debated that have nothing to do with conservatives.

We know Republican conservatives have disqualified themselves. But there are plenty of others here that believe in conservative ideas.

Hard to argue that though. I tried for a moment.

Look in history and in other cultures. At their core, conservatives are racial and traditionalists, to the point of freezing society. And in the absence of any real surviving ideology, ours have simply resorted to their baser historical conservative instincts. These are real conservatives. They were real in 1861. They were real under their white hoods in the late ninetieth century. They were real when they opposed Voter's Rights and Civil Rights in the 1960s. They are real today under their Confederate war flags and Trump Nation flags. Other cultures?

- Islamists are ultra conservatives.
- Nazis are ultra conservatives.
- Right-wing players across Europe are conservatives.

And the one thing they all have in common is a stubborn will to freeze society before it becomes too colorized and a wish to return their society to a more "Golden Age."

- Islamists want to return to the "pure" Islam of the Rashidun.
- Nazis wanted their fantasy of a life before Jews, democracy, and "the left" ruined them.
- Right-wing political groups across Europe are petrified of immigrants and dream of life before the modern refugee wave.

And what did that American Republican say about MAGA? Something about how great life was during the Antebellum? <-------- Another "Golden Age." In the meantime, the official GOP agenda since 2008 (Ryan's, McConnell's, and Boehner's "Party of No") has been to obstruct and oppose. <---- Freezing society. I remind, the GOP passed 0 infrastructure legislation under Trump, despite that being a campaign promise.

The conservative mind is the same all over, from culture to culture, and from era to era.

Well, sure, I'll find myself debating people who are closer to my political alignment. It's not easy, exactly, but at least there isn't the bottomless well of bad faith to contend with.
