Court Stops Another Republican Voter Repression Law (1 Viewer)

How are votes cast by mail "Cheating?" How exactly are votes dropped in a locked box cheating? So you are claiming that unless MAGANS can suppress the vote, everyone else is cheating? MAGA proposals to have vigilantes - some armed - at each poling places will stop "Cheating" which now MAGA defines as voting for Democrats. A true to the core MAGA thought process. Fortunately, elections are run by the states not by the MAGA cult.

Ballots are mailed out well ahead of Election Day, and thus voters have an “election period,” not just a single day, to vote. Mostly-mail elections can be thought of as absentee voting for everyone. This system is also referred to as “vote by mail.”
  • Eight states—California, Colorado, Hawaii, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Vermont and Washington and the District of Columbia—allow all elections to be conducted entirely by mail.
  • Two states—Nebraska and North Dakota—permit counties to opt into conducting elections by mail.
  • Nine states—Alaska, Arizona, Florida, Kansas, Maryland, Missouri, Montana, New Mexico and Wyoming—allow specific small elections to be conducted by mail.
  • Four states—Idaho, Minnesota, New Jersey and New Mexico—permit mostly-mail elections for certain small jurisdictions.
Seems to me that in state election boards are pretty happy with vote by mail - also endorsed by the RNC. I am seriously interested in your insights into how "cheating" happens in elections?
Wisconsin lost track of more than 82,000 mail-in ballots cast in the state in the November 2020 elections—more than four times the margin of difference separating the two presidential candidates in the state, according to a report by the nonprofit Public Interest Legal Foundation.

"Democrats want to cheat," he stated. "And so they used Covid to exploit absentee balloting in Wisconsin. There were so many irregularities. It's just galling, to hear 'oh it was an above-board election.'"

Johnson told Posobiec that since the GOP is historically “hundreds of thousands of votes behind in early voting” on election day, “embracing early voting” will be the key.

Link, to a reputable source?

A couple of years ago, the GA passed a law making it easier to vote by mail, but once the Dems won, they cried about how corrupt is was and made it more difficult to vote that way.

That's what these red state legislatures do. They figure out how Dems vote and then target those ways and make it more difficult.

Republicans strongly oppose individuals voting illegally, but their Supreme Court justices allow them to use illegal voting districts.

"The ruling echoes redistricting cases in other Southern states where courts found that congressional maps violated the voting rights of Black voters and other people of color but allowed them to be used anyway, at least temporarily. In recent years, that happened in Alabama, Georgia and Louisiana."

This should tell you all you need to know...

The Public Interest Legal Foundation (PILF) is an American conservative legal group based in Alexandria, Virginia,[2] which is known for suing states and local governments to purge voters from election rolls.[3] The nonprofit was constituted in 2012.
The group has made false claims about the extent of voter fraud in the United States <snip>

This just some more of that commie Trump propaganda his cultists are spreading like fertilizer.

Nothing to see here people...... Throw a nickle in his cup and move along.

That is the ONLY link I could find.

Citizens have obligations. News at 11.

How does Montana plan to check and verify if a person notified their former State that they moved?

Seems some in the GOP objected to a National voter registration sharing database to assist States in keeping voter registration roles clean and up to date. Does Montana share registration data with other States?

Yes, a good citizen would notify their old State and cancel the voter registration. We have laws that it is illegal to kill someone. Murders still happen. Without a way for Montana to verity a new citizens voter registration status, imo, the law is just a feel good law.

No they made last minute illegal changes and used Covid as an excuse.

You just love to make up your own facts but sorry - No.

We should have a system where registering in any state checks you across all voting registration data banks and removes you from any that replicate your data in the new jurisdiction.

This is the 21st century after all.
We have this system today ERIC. ERIC (Electronic Registration Information Center) is a non-profit organization with the sole mission of assisting states to improve the accuracy of America's voter rolls and increase access to voter registration for all eligible citizens. Note: this map now includes Texas who at MAGA's insistence, Texas left.

The RNC is encouraging states to leave ERIC for one and only reason. They must have chaos in the voting systems in order to justify losing elections and then pointing to how compromised those voting systems are.

They have a little over 7 months to create as much doubt as possible about the validity of vote by mail, the use of drop boxes, ignoring all mail in votes that don't arrive on or before voting day, the denial of those who have committed a felony and served their time.

They want every state to also rule that they can not vote until all their financial restitution is paid. That means rich ex-cons get to vote and poor ex-cons do no not.
They want to vigilantes at every polling locating ready to swoop down and stop voting they believe to be illegal or interrupt election workers that they deem "suspect".
They want laws, and some do now, that any citizen can claim any other citizen is not entitled to vote according to "their" standards. That means all the confidential voting records of every citizen must be turned over or made public so potential voters can be attacked usually a few days before the election giving nobody time to determine the validity of the charge. Additionally, there is no penalty for filing protests against as many voters as you care to list even if everyone of your vote blocking efforts and later found to be "inaccurate."

Welcome to the coming MAGA America. Their two part strategy is
1."iI we cant win a majority, we will whittle down those who can vote until we win.
2. Create massive distrust in every aspect of voting, vote counting, voting laws and vote integrity through a year long campaign of lies, propaganda and the attack of the massive lie-to-me media and corrupt Congress folks.

Too easy. Too sane.

Unnecessary. Just don't vote where you don't live (primary residence) and there's no problem.
