Could this indifference to the actual needs of the US be reason for GOP defeat? (1 Viewer)

Telegraph | News | Republicans plot to bring down Pelosi ... and Clinton with her

Surely the US needs Politicians who are primarily concerned with getting the US strong again, not weeaken it by infighting?
Comments please.
Actually, I think it is a golden opportunity for the women to show that they can do a great job leading the country. It's a chance to open the door for a woman to be president. In that sense, Pelosi and Hillary are tied together. A woman speaker helps Hillary. Obviously, if she is seen as a good leader, it helps Hillary more, but just by BEING the speaker, it breaks the glass ceiling.

I think the people who don't like Pelosi are never going to vote for Hillary anyway, no matter what. That isn't going to change, and that's Hillary's biggest problem.......she has relatively high negatives just because of her name.

Overall, Pelosi as speaker is a net gain for Hillary....no matter what kind of tactics the Reps use.

(Yes, too bad the Dems who are masters of infighting and have no interest in a strong America are now in power in the House and the Senate.)

No, too bad the GOP who are past masters at infighting and had no interest in a strong America will (com3e January 3rd) no longer be in power in the House and Senate.

Curious how ones words can be turned around.
Boehner was concerned that by reducing the goodies given by Lobbyists he would be on a forced diet and unable to afford to play golf.
Hastart will be unable to continue to deny his involvement with a sexual predator.
DeLay will with a bit of luck be sometime soon enjoying the hotel accomodation of the US Government along with Jack Abromoff already there.
Read D- Nevada will one hopes, if the Federal authorities ever get off their collective a$$es and do something about him breaking Federal law on donations not being used for personal expenses, soon be regretful of doing just that.

Except it doesn't work here.

Boehner was concerned that by reducing the goodies given by Lobbyists he would be on a forced diet and unable to afford to play golf.

And he said this when?

Hastart will be unable to continue to deny his involvement with a sexual predator.

His involvement? Which was manifested how?

DeLay will with a bit of luck be sometime soon enjoying the hotel accomodation of the US Government along with Jack Abromoff already there.

Based on the evidence the DA said he had but was unable to present?

Do you mean Reid? Why don't the Dems themselves do something about him?

arguing about which group of politicians is more power-hungry is like arguing about which group of CEOs is greedier, or which group of gangsters is more violent.
