American Samoa consists of five main islands and two coral atolls. The largest and most populous island is Tutuila, with the Manuʻa Islands, Rose Atoll and Swains Island also included in the territory. All islands except for Swains Island are part of the Samoan Islands, west of the Cook Islands, north of Tonga, and some 300 miles (500 km) south of Tokelau. To the west are the islands of the Wallis and Futuna group. As of 2021, the population of American Samoa is approximately 46,366 people.[8][10] Most American Samoans are bilingual and can speak English and Samoan fluently.

Give it to china

Closer to them. Actually closer to Australia. If they want to be part of a larger nation Australia would be much closer logistically.

And why not the US as a fully-fledged state?
Like Hawaii.
Hawaii is a Pacific crossroads and a vital naval base. Somoa is in an out of the way place with a very small population.

What if the inhabitants don't want to be under China's oppressive, Communist regime, which is assuredly the situation?
I rethought that. Australia would be better and much closer.

If the GQP can pass voter restrictions we can annex countries of color into the US.

However, if the want to have a vote and be a state then by all means give them the chance.

You may be surprised to know they elected the republican candidate to congress with 84% of the vote in 2020 so it would probably mean 2 more republican senators but i still think supplying it would be easier with Australia.

On that note, maybe we should give it to Putin and Russia. /s
A change of mind, lol. I would need to find out if they have any vital natural resources. If they do then make them a state.

Isn't that quite a cruel idea?
Thats why i re-assessed and moved it to Australia. But 2 more republican senators would be nice.

In March 1889, an Imperial German naval force entered a village on Samoa, and in doing so destroyed some American property. Three American warships then entered the Apia harbor and prepared to engage the three German warships found there.[19] Before any shots were fired, a typhoon wrecked both the American and German ships. A compulsory armistice was then called because of the lack of any warships.

Have you ever heard of that?
