In a perfect world, I'd vote for a centrist. It's what we need. Reasoned social progress and reasoned fiscal conservatism.

The socialist lefties will be able to give you many reasons. The better question is, does America really want socialism?
 
Until they really start to campaign, and debate, etc., there is no reason to consider who one would vote for right now, except "Sure as hell not Trump".

Why would anyone bother to convince you?

Besides, it's early and the campaign ideology no doubt needs to be fleshed out a bit for coherence.

I honestly don't care who it is as long as its not Bloomberg, and as long as the eventually nominee - if not progressive - chooses a progressive as his or her running-mate.

And obviously as long as they ACTUALLY WIN this time!

Anyone that is a non religious nut is better than Trump. Anyone, literally. The grocer, the mailman, the butcher, the kid at McDonald's... and i mean it.

Hell, maybe some of the more centre-left Trump supporters will even vote for Bloomberg, since he's essentially a tad to the left white billionaire self-entitled prick just like the Donald himself, but speaks more eloquently and is several orders of magnitude more intelligent and evil. Maybe Bloomberg could show him how being a Real Life Lex Luthor is done properly
