"Contact Us" communiques

The "Contact Us" function is flawed in that there is no way for the sender to preserve a message that was sent through that link. Is there an option to CC the sender a copy of the submission? Can it be a requirement that the mod/admin who reviews the submission forwards a copy to the sender when they have viewed it, or along with their response?

Having a record of those submissions within the forum, accessible by the sender, preserved in the same manner as every other communication, is beneficial.

I've set up "contact us" forms for commercial websites. I didn't see any way to cc another email address as an available function.

Depending on the system it can be set up to reply (thank you for contacting us etc) with a copy of the original message but that function might not be available here.

Why not just screenshot your message if you want a record?

Are you using the "contact us" feature so much you can't keep track of what you've reported, and what you haven't?

Keep a note pad and pencil with you. Write it down. Go "old school".

The Contact Us is not flawed, it works exactly as it is supposed to. If you want a record of your communication with the staff, you can send a PM.

For the record, the Contact Us feature works as it did for vB and just about every other forum software.
