They are trying to paint the Buffalo shooter as a conservative because he believed in the "Replacement Theory" and they like to use the word "theory" so they can then have a meme that says it is false. Ben Shapiro posted that "if you want to be accurate about the Great Replacement Theory, it is a conspiracy theory about Jewish elites shipping in minorities to change the racial stock of a country. That is precisely what the Buffalo shooter says. And it is echoed by neither political party."

But you can call me an ethno-nationalist eco-fascist national socialist if you want, I wouldn’t disagree with you.” He also repeatedly attacks capitalists, and rejected the conservative label because, he wrote, “conservativism is corporatism in disguise, I want no part of it.”

Mainstream media is trying to paint the shooter as a RIGHT wing nut when he himself proves he is as left-wing as many of the posters here. Conservatives need to shout this lie down and fast. Otherwise, we will have a hundred million idiots believing it just like they believed the lie that Trump colluded with Russia. Don't let them get away with this one.
