with payrolls over 400k. i'm sorry you are forced to do the right thing.
This program would actually help them by providing lowered premiums for those workers who have low incomes.
Like hell I'm not! The bill clearly states that employers are coming up with some jack, either in fines or not providing healthcare, or for paying for employee health care. Don't lie, saying that we're not coming out of our pockets to pay for this BS.
Yeah, that is a lie. The bill will force companies, even small companies to fun this piece of crap to the tune of as much as $8,000 a year in additional taxes. 8% on $400,000 is $32,000. This bill will foce companies out of business.
Show me in the bill where it will be paid for entirely by those making over 250k a year...
What page and paragraph please, I'd hate for you to look like you are making it up to mask ignorance!
I stand corrected. I did not know you can afford insurance but choose not to buy it..
An insurance dead beat....You are correct....This bill is coming after you.
I'll be damned if I'm going to continue to pay for you deadbeats when you stiff the Hospital and Doctors with your catastrophic accidents and illnesses.
I have the best health insurance available, I give my employees hard cold cash instead of a health plan...
When you raise my taxes to pay for an idiotic public option, guess who loses said cash and thier freedom to get thier own healt care.
Hmm I am shocked, shocked I tell you that Dragon avoided this...
Shocked I say.
Pay to play. You either start providing insurance for your employees or walk.
Your competition will be happy to take your business and pay the low premiums.
Isn't the Democratic plan actually proposing that small businesses get subsidies to provide health insurance to their employees? I don't think you would have to be worried about your taxes being increased, but rather your larger competitors taxes being increased.
Subtitle A – Individual Responsibility
1) It is the responsibility of all individuals to obtain coverage under a qualified health benefit plan. Those individuals, who choose not to be covered, will pay an extra tax equal to 2.5% of their income, not to exceed the applicable national average premium. We will cover this more in Title IV of this division.
5) Special Rules for Small Employers – A small employer shall pay the following amounts instead of the 8% required by larger employers: $350,000-$400,000 = 6%; $300,000-$350,000=4%; $250,000-300,000=2%; does not exceed $250,000=0%.

Most of my employees make over 100k. Sorry. They can afford their own insurance...
How will them being paid less and forced onto a government health plan "help" them?
FAIL
Nice try at a personal attack to redirect, but you failed, big time. I never said that I didn't have insurance and when I didn't have insurance, I paid my doctor bills. Wanna try again, sport?
Lucky for us you didn't have a catastophic accident/illness when you didn't have insurance..
Then you would have stiffed the Hospital.
We're not talking about going to aDoc-n-the Box for the sniffles.....LOL

How proud of yourself you must have been when you slapped that $40 down!
Not to mention that people that work out a "plan" with their hospital to pay medical bills are treating a hospital as though it was a line of credit.

And that's a bad thing, how?
I ignore stupid questions.
It's not that I couldn't google it in 5 seconds but I'm not wasting time with you.
Just to be the devils advocate. If they earn 100k a year, and live in the NYC area, that's really not that much. If they are raising a family on that income, and thus are incurring health insurance premiums on the individual market of somewhere between 500 dollars a month and 800 dollars a month. Even if they saw an increase in their income taxes to pay for a public plan, they may well come out ahead in terms of their disposable income.
psst, I said over....
Anyway, I pay over the going rate so they can afford whatever they choose really, and it will not be a net gain for them to downgrade to an obama plan....
Its a bad thing because hospital is not a bank. A hospital does not have the benefit of huge numbers of depositors or investors floating credit lines for them. They don't make money on issuing people loans, that costs them money. To make up for it, they simply pass the costs on to others.
So, it's better that the patients pay nothing at all?

Yes it's fine that the deabeats are paying some small fraction of their bill!
The point went completely over your head.
We need to stop those who refuse to buy insurance when they can afford from gaming the system.
Opting into insurance only when they are sick or elderly but not paying into the system when they are young and healthy.
Or like you when you had no insurance. Betting with our money that you will not find yourself in a hospital with $600K in medical bills you will stiff us with.
So, it's better that the patients pay nothing at all?
