What they neglect in their studies is that the US as geographically isolated has long been the last bastion of hope for the masses. What they neglect are the Europeans who will, very soon, once again join the migrant mix in their flight from oppression. We're gong to be getting a lot more white people, too.

What defines 'skilled'? Watching today's workforce I'd opine willing to work hard at the jobs fewer and fewer 'natives' want to do seems to be a highly desired skill. According to our local ABC channel Lawton Ok can't find enough 'natives' willing to drive trash trucks. Same people who bitch about 'unskilled' people could use a few who can drive a trash truck, how much skill is that...

The huddled masses thing was great 100+ years ago, not so much today, and wanting to work is not a skill. In todays world people have to be qualified, certified etc. to work a job. It was great when we could count the cost of a job by how many people died getting it done. That practice is not so profitable today. Here in Florida we have a HUGE construction problem, companies are understaffed by as much as 50% and they can not fine qualified people to work. Unskilled immigrants cant be hired and millennials wont work for the wages being offered, nor are the skilled in any trades.

I can not lift anything over 40 lbs without being certified in heavy lifting and wear a safety belt to protect my back. I can not climb a ladder over 6 feet tall without being ladder certified and can not stand on the top two rungs. I can not operate a manual pallet jack without out being certified to operate it. I can not enter any construction area, even if no one is working in it at the time, without a hard hat and safety goggles. The list goes on and on. Its not a matter of wanting to hire, they cant legally hire without certifications and training. Immigrants swimming across the Rio simply do not qualify to work on any construction site in Florida. You liberals want all the illegals to live off the state and have made it so they can not get jobs even though they are "Skilled" in wanting to work. Congratulations on the liberal utopia. :roll:
