Thought this might make for an intersting thread idea.

Simply put, for our conservative members here, let's say you had to vote for a Democratic candidate.

I get it, most of you would just not vote, but just humor the situation a bit. If you had to, who would you pick?

If I were registered as a demorat then I would vote for the farthest left (most progressive?) POTUS candidate - Sanders.

Yes, this should be interesting. I think you'll get answers in 3 basic categories: People who just won't play (as you said), people who pick who seems like the least bad candidate, and people who pick the candidate who they think can spoil the election for the Democrats. I wanted to subscribe to your thread anyway so I can watch how it shapes up.

I'm not an American, and I don't vote. But I am a conservative, and the question is hypothetical.

I'd vote for Joe Biden. I see him as the least radical, the most experienced, and the least likely to drive the US into the ground with progressive policies. In fact, I'd possibly vote for him over Pres. Trump if I had to cast a vote in a US election.

I honestly think that’s what you want a one party system! You just want your own candidate and only

I'm not a Conservative, but I'm essentially Anti-Democrat. I would vote Gabbard over Trump in a heart beat simply over foriegn policy as I believe she is the only true anti-war voice out there.

IF I voted for a Leftist, Tulsi Gabbard would be it. She's the least insane out of the bunch and actually makes, somewhat, sense in some areas. Yang is too much of a p*ssy, Biden is a perverted old man, Crazy Bernie is, well, crazy, Fauxahontas Warren is delusional, Bloomberg is stereotypical arrogant CEO, Buttigeig is anti-law enforcement, Booker is a dumb*ss, and everyone else are forgettable and weak.

Just so I don't lose my conservative card and get sued and censored - No way I am voting Democrat, likely for the rest of my lifetime, nor at any point previously in the real world.

But since it is the holiday season you can have your fun at my expense.

Gabbard is loathed by those farther left in the Democrat party - so that is a plus for me.
She is ex military, so that is a plus.
She would be opposed to putting our troops in harms way needlessly - another plus.
I am sure she would move the domestic needle left, but not as far left as the stated positions of Biden, Sanders or Warren - so at least I wouldn't lose as many of my freedoms right away.

Democrats generally oppose going to war. Republicans controlled Congress and the White House when we declared war on Iraq. Barack Obama did nothing about North Korea, so I don't know why Joe Biden would want to fight there.

This poll has too many choices. Most conservatives probably don't know who all of the candidates are. It should be for Biden, Sanders, Warren, Buttigieg, Gabbard, and Bloomberg.

I suppose Tulsi because she is young and hot and not a pedophile!

It's not unfair to say that if Gabbard ran as a third party spoiler, the party she'd be spoiling is Republican.

Gabbard. I’m not a fan of her politics but she appears to live a principle based life rather than a political based one.

All sides make the mistake of thinking that a president is dictator. They just automatically assume that if a president campaigns for some nonsense that if that candidate wins it will actually come to be. Progressives in particular make that mistake. They believe if Bernie is elected his policies will actually come true. I won't vote in your poll because I don't like any of the Democratic candidates. I didn't vote for Trump in 2016 and if I wind up not voting for him again it will be because I picked a third party/indepedent. Even if I were going to pick the most moderate candidate in your list, let's say Biden or Gabbard, a lot would depend on who their VP was, particularly in old man Biden's case. If he is the most moderate candidate of the bunch and picks a progressive as his VP, that would eliminate the 1% chance Biden had of me voting for him.

Tulsi or Klobuchar. The candidates the the DNC won't get behind in a million years.

I can never understand how someone can vote for Trump and then think Sanders is cool, although they do have similar rhetoric and campaign strategies. :) Surprised Mayor Pete isn't getting more traction here. He likes wine caves!

In rhetoric they oppose war, the only 2 politicians I have seen openly speaking out about it though have been Ron Paul and Tulsi Gabbard. Everyone else is complicit in America's actions over the last 20 years. There is a reason both Ron and Tulsi have been smeared so effectively by the media during their campaigns and it is because anti-war position is more than empty rhetoric for them as opposed to say Trump or Obama.

Let me explain this, the Democrats were confidence that 2016 were going to be a straight ticket and then the 2020 is another straight ticket for the democrats! The Democrats should admit it. The version that they version is a system that we see in Cuba and majority of Asia and Eastern in other terms “one political system state”.

I like Butti, He is climbing in the poles. As the field shrinks, he will only get stronger. Once he has beaten Biden in the the first two states, his momentum will make him competitive in super tuesday and his organization skills will clean out the field in the caucus states.

What?

Dude, this is just a thought experiment.

Trump always supported the stupid Iraq war. Presidential debater fact checkers found a tweet Trump posted when it began expressing strong support of the war after he said during a debate he opposed it.

While Congress tackled health care, guess who was trying to start a war against North Korea.

I wouldn't vote.

**** them all.

I think I'd go for Sanders. With his associations with the Soviet Union/Russia it's a target rich environment for GOP to investigate the hell out of him.

A vote for any Socialist is a vote for Putin.
